Kent (ケント)
CV: Ishida Akira (石田 彰)

Kent has grown up so much from the first game and yet, in other ways, he remains the same dense man with respect to the matters of love. His route focuses a lot on him learning daily life lessons like cooking, washing, and other things while progressing his relationship with the heroine.

(It’s been a long time since we came back to Amnesia Later and so I’ll do a quick refresher on what happens at the beginning before the heroine chooses who she wants to be with to search for the fireflies. Please refer to Amnesia Later Ikki’s post for all the details. Also… I AM STILL NOT ANY CLOSER TO UNDERSTANDING KENT).

Shin (シン)
CV: Kakihara Tetsuya (柿原 徹也)

Despite being one year younger than the heroine, Shin is a very responsible and mature young man. In fact, being younger merely spurs him on to become the type of man that can be with her. Unfortunately, in this route he has to deal with the heroine’s ridiculous rendition of a five year old or a prude virgin. If only the GOOD END involved him breaking up with her.

Toma (トーマ)
CV: Hino Satoshi (日野 聡)

Toma likes to self-deprecate himself a lot because he knows he has issues, but it doesn’t deter him from loving the heroine. Plus, in the Diamond World the heroine is just as crazy about him as he is about her. There’s not much to say about him except that he still acts like an older brother figure and so he’s responsible, caring, and protective.

Ikki (イッキ)
CV: Taniyama Kishou (谷山 紀章)

Ikki has matured since the original game and he isn’t shy about showing his affections towards the heroine who has finally decided to move in with him. He’s utterly smitten with her and restrains himself from pushing her outside of her comfort zone. But this doesn’t stop his seductions or sweet teasing. Basically he’s perfect boyfriend material and I’m so bias it’s not even funny (*ノ∀ノ)イヤン.

(Sorry!! I’ll definitely get back to BWS after this but even I need a break from depressing and dark stories no matter how much I like that genre. Also, a friend was browbeating me into finishing Ikki’s route before they spoiled me silly. Don’t worry, once I finish BWS I’ll be back to finishing Amnesia Later!.. No, really, I will).

Amnesia ~ Extras ~

(These are extras once the whole game is complete. They feature side stories for all the characters, but they’re unvoiced and long monologues so my head starts hurting just 5 minutes in. That’s why most of the summaries under neath this cut will be short rather than my usual descriptive style).

The setting is from the man’s perspective and before they started dating the heroine. Most of them address their growing feelings or hidden love for the heroine. In Ukyo’s route it is more of a side-story that accompanies his real route very well though.

Amnesia ~ Ukyo ~

Ukyo (ウキョウ)
CV: Miyata Kouki (宮田 幸季)

Ukyo is an interesting character. From everyone else’s route it is clear that he seems to have two personalities. One is a psychotic killer and the other is gentle, kind, and loving toward the heroine; sort of like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. However, he clearly holds great affection and love for the heroine and is the type of character who would do literally anything for her. He appears to be the official pairing for the heroine.

Kent (ケント)
CV: Ishida Akira (石田 彰)

(Kent, how could you!? You forced me to break my tradition of pinning pictures at the top! Unless this counts as one…).

Kent is a serious and logical character. He doesn’t understand feelings at all and tends to go on long explanations about all the possibilities that are available. He also tends to take things in the worst way possible. However, underneath all that, he really is a nice person and can be quite passionate but he just doesn’t know how to express it. He has a hobby of creating math puzzles for people to solve.

Toma (トーマ)
CV: Hino Satoshi (日野 聡)

(Does this count as a pinning scene? Haha, actually I had another one in mind but I figured it was too much of a spoiler. It’ll be featured later on in this post. People who have played Toma’s route will know which one I’m talking about).

Toma has an older brother type of personality and he enjoys taking care of the heroine and Shin, since he considers them to be his younger siblings. However, his feelings toward the heroine are more than brotherly and he clearly seems to protect her with an intensity that borders on being scary. He’s almost the opposite of Shin in that he always has warm and kind things to say to the heroine.

Shin (シン)
CV: Kakihara Tetsuya (柿原 徹也)

(I’m keeping to the tradition of having pinning scenes up at the top, haha).

Shin has a really rough character. He’s blunt to the point of being rude and can be very strict. His favourite word is “idiot” which he calls the heroine a lot, but his affection for her can be easily seen. He doesn’t hide the fact that he thinks about her a lot and he takes his job as her boyfriend very seriously. He doesn’t have any friends apart from the heroine and Toma and he comes from a poor family. His bad ends are just bad and don’t reveal much of his character, but his normal end is just as good if not better than the good end.

Same deal with Ikki’s route. Lin meets Orion in the blue world and learns that she has lost all of her memories, but that he’ll tag along inside her heart and help her gain them back. This time, she chooses to return to the world of Hearts.

Ikki (イッキ)
CV: Taniyama Kishou (谷山 紀章)

Ikki is a very devoted and affectionate man. Although he seems like a playboy at first glance, there is much more to his character than is first revealed. His route focuses a lot on his story and his eyes and not much is revealed about why the heroine lost her memories. However,  the fact that the story is focused on Ikki doesn’t make his route any less enjoyable. He genuinely adores and loves the heroine and the depths of his affection can be clearly seen in his bad and normal routes.
