Soo Majiku (ソー 真軸)
CV: Yoshino Hiroyuki (吉野 裕行)

Soo is a.. ridiculously idiotic character. Everyone else in the world and party calls him that and he even calls himself that. However, a more correct term for him would be an idiot savant. He thinks of himself as a jack of all trades, because he’s proficient at everything but he doesn’t need to expend any effort into it. He’s very kind though in a brotherly way.

(Let’s see if I can make this the quickest summary yet and to try and use just one line for every major plot point.)

Nayuta and Kirite are sent by Remuna to find a girl, who has the power to destroy the world, in Dodona and to bring her back. Meanwhile, Lilith wakes up in her bed after oversleeping.

*** EPISODE 「福音」(Good news) ***

Lilith meets Kirite in the streets and she asks him if he’s a traveler. They introduce themselves to each other and then she runs off to the shrine. It gets attacked by monsters though and then Rognar appears to try and kill her. Kirite engages Rognar but he’s losing terribly until Lilith accepts the i-scepter that appears in front of her. She manages to fend Rognar off until Nayuta and Camus arrive to scare him off. Lilith comforts Kirite with her voice and then his Vakista powers are awakened. Then they get teleported away.

*** EPISODE 「聖女か魔女か」(A saint or a witch?) ***

The situation is explained to Lilith and Camus by Nayuta and Kirite. They’re supposed to bring Lilith back to Dodona because Remuna thinks she is a witch who will destroy the world. Lilith agrees to return with them to clear her name and Camus follows to protect her. As they travel, Lilith decides to stay beside Kirite. At night, after they set up camp, Kirite apologizes and thanks Lilith but she tells him that he doesn’t need to apologize. The next day they make it to Dinus.

Lilith’s pack gets stolen by a thief though and the party ends up needing to chase after him, because her i-scepter was in there. Lilith follows Nayuta who scolds her for losing such a valuable thing and when she tries to run off to search by herself he scolds her more. Lilith apologizes and then Nayuta takes her to a bar for information. The bartender won’t give them any information though and so Nayuta threatens him which leads to a large bar fight.

While Nayuta defeats all the men in the bar Lilith notices the thief sneaking away. She loses him in the alleyway and then gets surrounded by thugs who want to sell her off. She warns them that she’ll scream but this doesn’t deter the thugs and they try to grab her, but they get interrupted by Soo. When Soo asks if she’s alright, she thanks him gratefully and with a bright smile. Soo just grins and tells her that he’s glad then, although he didn’t even do anything.

Lilith disagrees though because if he didn’t show up then she would have been kidnapped. She was so scared that her legs are still shaky and Soo sighs in irritation at the thought of those worthless men making a cute girl girl. The rest of the party finds her and then Soo runs off to avoid his debt collectors. When they enter a restaurant to have dinner they find their thief. Kirite and Nayuta scare the information about where the i-scepter is out of him. They also take the money he earned from selling the i-scepter.

She makes Kirite return the thief’s wallet though. Anyway, the party meets Madam but she wants to sell the i-scepter at triple its price. Lilith is sent off to the casino while Kirite and Nayuta discuss the details about doing a job for Madam if they want the funds to buy back the i-scepter. In the casino, Lilith notices Soo losing all his money and Camus manages to convince her to play roulette against Soo. She’s thinking of betting the same as Soo since he’s been on a losing streak and it might turn.

Camus tells her not to though because they’ll just lose money. He tells her to leave it to him and then he bets on the spot opposite of Soo’s bet. They win a large amount of money and Soo is surprised to see them. Lilith is impressed by how he still remembers her name, but he just replies 「可愛い子の名前は忘れたりしないって!」(I wouldn’t forget a cute girl’s name!). Anyway, Madam is brought down because of the amount that Lilith won. She changes her mind to sell them the i-scepter though when she hears that Lilith will give the rest of her money to Soo.

Lilith decides to hire Soo to compete in the battle tournament for them so that they can win back the i-scepter. When Soo gives them a tour of the arena and they encounter the group of men who wish to pick a fight, Lilith urges Soo to just leave since it’ll be bad if he was injured before the tournament. Soo grins at that and agrees, but before he can leave the men ask if he’s afraid and then they talk about how they should just beat him up right here and now.

Soo calls them idiots because he had meant that it’d be terrible for THEM to be injured before the tournament. They angrily ask him what he means by that, but Soo just calls the guards onto them. Before they leave they warn him that they’ll remember this, but Soo just chuckles and tells them that, from the start, he didn’t have any intentions to be remembered. Lilith is a little worried about how lightly Soo treated those men and she’s glad they were able to avoid a fight.

Of course the men end up coming back to pick a fight in the alleyway with them, but Soo defeats them easily. Soo decides to give the party a tour of Dinus, since the battle tournament won’t start for another few days. Lilith decides to stay close to Soo for safety while they walk around. They go to the arena but they aren’t allowed to look inside of it before the tournament starts. Then they decide to have dinner at a restaurant and everyone is shocked by the amount of food that Soo can eat.

Lilith slips outside for some fresh air but Soo follows her out and asks her with a cheeky grin 「か~のじょ、オレと一緒に遊ばない?」(Gi~rl, won’t you play with me?). She flinches in surprise and then asks him what he’s doing, but he just says 「おやおや?前にどこかてお会いしましたっけ?」(Oh my, have we met before?) and 「こーんな可愛いコ、一度会ったら忘れるはずないんだけどな」(Because it’d be impossible to forget meeting such a cute girl). Lilith turns bright red at this and asks if he’s drunk. He tells her with a laugh that he’s sober.

Then he says 「で、可愛コちゃんはこんなところで一人?他の悪い男に超えかけられちゃう前に、オレで手を打たねー?」(Well, are you all alone here? Won’t you take my hand before a bad man calls out to you?). He suggests that they chase each other on a moonlit beach and then they can watch the sunrise while drinking coffee. Lilith agrees without hesitation which makes Soo respond 「・・・え?マジで?」(.. Eh? Really?) with wide eyes. She asks in confusion if they can’t. He stutters out that it’s not that they can’t, but he’s just wondering if she’s actually fine with him.

Lilith gives him another look of confusion which makes Soo fall into a troubled silence. Then he tells her 「悪い。なんかオレ、今こう人攫いみたいな気分を味わった」(My bad. Somehow, I feel like a kidnapper now). She asks him what he means by that, but he just warns her not to accept an unknown man’s offer to take her to the sea. He ruffles her hair as he says this and she blushes before telling him not to treat her like a kid. He tells her with a grin that he isn’t and then asks if she really likes the sea that much.

She informs him that she hasn’t seen the sea before since Dodona is a rural mountain village. He hums thoughtfully before asking her if she wants him to really take her to the sea one day. She nods excitedly since she wants to see the sea and then she changes the subject and asks why he’s out here. He tells her that he was just wondering what she was doing since she didn’t return. Lilith thanks him for coming out here because he was worried, and then tells him that she’s fine.

He asks her if that’s the truth. Lilith nods but then she admits that it was a bit noisy and it’s her first time seeing everyone so lively. Soo averts his eyes and asks awkwardly if he was a bit too lively. Lilith quickly denies it and reassures him that she likes to see everyone having fun. It’s a given that Camus is having fun while Kirite looks as if he doesn’t hate it. Soo asks for her opinion on Nayuta and so she tells him that Nayuta may lecture a lot, but it’s because he’s worried about Soo.

Soo doesn’t think so though since Nayuta sounds like he’s preaching. Lilith giggles and warns him that Nayuta would become angry if he heard that. Soo chuckles with her and then asks her why she’s traveling with them, since it’s unusual to see such a group of people together. Lilith tells him that Camus has been with her from the start while Nayuta and Kirite are taking her to Ingrid. Soo asks her why and so she explains that Remuna thinks she’ll destroy the world.

Then she asks him not to talk about it since Nayuta would be angry if he found out that she told Soo. He agrees not to tell Nayuta and then hums thoughtfully at the thought of her destroying the world. He even asks her how that would actually happen which makes her tell him in shock that she never once thought about destroying the world. And even if she did, she wouldn’t have the power to. Soo laughs and agrees because if she had the power to destroy the world then she wouldn’t have been in trouble in the alleyway.

He changes the subject and asks if she’ll be alright going to Ingrid. When she looks at him in confusion he apologizes for scaring her, but for some reason he feels worried. Lilith smiles and thanks him for his worry, but she thinks she’ll be fine since Nayuta will be with her. She thinks the misunderstanding will be cleared quickly and she’ll be able to return to Dodona. Soo grins and tells her that he’ll work hard here to return her to her home quicker then. Lilith tells him that she’ll look forward to seeing him fight in the tournament.

Soo boasts that he doesn’t even need to try to win and then he suggests that they return back inside before everyone else starts worrying. There’s still time before the tournament and so the next day Lilith finds herself standing beside Soo while Madam lectures the both of them. She’s mainly lecturing Soo for getting Lilith involved with his debt collectors, but she also informs Lilith that if she’s going to continue going around with Soo then she should also be prepared to receive lectures.

It turns out that Soo wants to play in the casino with Lilith, but Madam angrily reminds him that he has no money and he has a lot of debts. Soo dismisses them lightly and tells Madam that the money won from the battle tournament can pay his tab here. She asks him what he’ll do about the others, which shocks Lilith since she didn’t realize he had all the others. Soo just laughs nervously and then lies to Madam about how Nayuta and Kirite are starving and so he and Lilith need to go and buy food for them.

Lilith is embarrassed at the blatant lie since their inn rests on top of a restaurant, but Soo hurriedly pulls her with him and they leave Madam behind yelling at them. He complains about how Madam does nothing but preach to him, she even used his teacher’s name, but Lilith asks if it isn’t because he owes a lot of money. Soo doesn’t see a problem though because he just needs to win a battle tournament to get all the money that he needs. However, the prize for this battle tournament is her staff.

She asks how that’s going to be a prize and Soo explains that the Madam will buy the staff off the winner for lots of money. Lilith is puzzled by Madam’s actions since it looks like Madam did all this just to get Soo involved, which means Madam is worried about him. When she tells him this, Soo laughs because he finds the idea hilarious. He doesn’t see a problem in the way he lives freely and without a care. Lilith asks him what his dream is then and he tells her that he wants to be the strongest man in the world.

When she asks who he’s comparing himself to, he tells her that his teacher was the strongest man in the world. He could win battles just by staring people down. Lilith curiously asks what his teacher taught him and Soo tells her that his teacher told him to live freely and that a clenched fist can’t grasp anything. She didn’t catch the last part, but he tells her it’s nothing when she asks. Anyway, Lilith tells him that obeying his teacher is great but he should also listen to Madam from time to time because she’s worried for him.

Soo reluctantly agrees and so Lilith jokes about how they should return back to Madam then. His eyes widen as he hurriedly tells her that he’ll pass on that, which makes her giggle. He suggests that they return to Kirite and Nayuta since they might be getting worried. She agrees and so he escorts her back. The next day is the tournament, but Soo shows up late and wants to eat breakfast first. Nayuta is annoyed and wants to leave, but Lilith agrees to eat in their inn before they leave.

The tournament starts and Soo knocks all his opponents out in one hit. While the rest of the party is having their dinner, Soo and Lilith have a talk outside. He asks her why she hired him and she tells him that it’s because she was saved by him. He looks confused until she reminds him of the incident in the alleyway, but he doesn’t feel like he saved her since he just walked by. Lilith points out that if he didn’t walk by then she wouldn’t be here right now. Anyway, he’s also saving her by competing in the tournament for her staff.

Because of all his help she wanted to pay him back somehow and that’s why she was playing roulette. Anyway, he tells her about how his teacher died to a drunkard who stabbed him, and how that death was idiotic. Before his teacher died he told Soo that a clenched fist couldn’t grab anything. Soo doesn’t understand the meaning of these words and neither does Lilith, but Soo feels like he’ll be able to figure it out if he continues to stay with her. The next day is the final round of the tournament but Soo starts to lose.

Lilith realizes that he must be troubled by what they talked about yesterday and so she yells out his name. Although he couldn’t have been able to hear her, he looks over and their eyes meet. Then he smiles, regains his rhythm, and defeats his opponent. When Soo asks her what she would have done if he lost, Lilith tells him confidently that she believed in his victory. Soo’s eyes widen in shock and he asks her why she would think that. She reminds him of what he said about how he’d do something about the tournament.

He awkwardly tells her that he had a different meaning in mind when he said that. Lilith just repeats that she decided to believe in him. He’s asks her in a shaky voice why she would do that. Lilith confesses that she can’t explain it well, but whenever she’s in trouble he comes and saves her. He still can’t fully believe it but he decides to accept it for now. Anyway, he presents the staff to Lilith but when she touches it his Vakista powers awaken. And so he asks to join their party and Madam lends them a vehicle to help them get to Ingrid.

Along the way to Ingrid, Soo asks them why they’re heading there and he winks at Lilith. She realizes that he’s keeping his promise not to let Nayuta know that she told him everything already. They reach Ingrid quickly and rest at an inn while Nayuta arranges an audience with Remuna. When he tells them that Remuna will see her the next day, Kirite is alarmed at how fast it is and he warns Lilith about the lengths the high priestess might go to since she had hired him. She thinks she’ll be fine though since they’re both priestesses.

When Nayuta leads her into the audience room and asks her if something’s wrong, she tells him that it’s nothing. Anyway, Nayuta leaves to inform Remuna and then he escorts Lilith there. Then he’s kicked out of the room and Lilith is accused of being a witch who corrupted one of the holy knights of Ingrid. She’s thrown into jail and a date for her execution is set. Nayuta returns to break her out though, but then he resigns himself to stay and receive the punishment since he is still a knight of Ingrid.

Lilith tries to tell him that she can’t do that, but he just orders her to leave. She returns to the party and informs them of the situation, but then she confesses to not being able to leave Nayuta behind. Kirite expected this though and so the party comes up with two ways to enter the shrine. She decides to follow Soo’s plan to enter through the front and when a guard comes up to talk to her, she lies stiffly about being nervous in Ingrid’s shrine because of how strict he is.

Soo supports her lies by joking about how she’s worried about his gambling and drinking habits. The guard admits that he can see why she would be worried, because if he was Ingrid he’d also want to punish Soo. They slip through and find Nayuta who stubbornly wants to remain in the cell. Then a voice speaks to them and tries to convince Nayuta to kill Lilith, but it turns out to be a Sacred Nebulim and it runs away when Nayuta’s Vakista powers awaken. The party manage to sneak out of Ingrid after following a voice that only Lilith can hear.

*** EPISODE 「その愛をもっと世界を救う」(This love will save the world) ***

The party meets the three gods Luverchi, Clear, and Horo and the whole situation of the world is explained to them. The world is heading towards destruction because of love lost and Rognar is a god who has gone crazy and thinks he’s granting salvation to humans by killing them. They plead with Lilith to stop him and she agrees to stop him. So then they advise her to seek out the rest of her Vakistas. They return to Dinus to talk to Madam and that’s how they find out that there is a bounty on Lilith now.

She doesn’t want to involve Madam in their trouble, but Madam insists and so they explain everything to her. After hearing everything she informs them about a suspicious man who came by and talked about how he was trying to save the world. The party decides that they want to find this man and so Madam invites them to stay in her casino to protect them from the bounty hunters while she sends people out to find this self-proclaimed great sage. And so the party decides to spend their time wandering through Dinus.

One day Madam calls Lilith to help her and she gives Lilith the job of being a dealer at the black jack table. The rest of the party comes to find her and then they decide to play a game. Camus wins with a 21, Nayuta instantly loses, and Kirite has a 19, Lilith has a 20, while Soo absurdly thought he could win with an 11. Kirite just sighs at him and the rest of the party realizes what an idiot he is. The next day Madam gives Lilith money for helping out at the black jack table and so Lilith decides to walk around the streets with Soo.

She notices how almost everyone in town knows him and he explains to her that it’s because he always wins the battle tournaments and because he’s a notorious gambler. Lilith jokingly calls him famous which makes him point out that she is too since she has a bounty on her. She doesn’t think that’s the same though and Soo apologizes 「はは、わりぃわりぃ。笑い事じゃないよな。怒ったか?」(Haha, sorry sorry. It’s not something to be laughed at, huh. Are you mad?). She tells him firmly that she’s angry. His eyes widen as he asks 「え。マジで?」(Eh. Seriously?). She informs him with a frown that she’s serious.

But he just bursts out laughing which makes Lilith ask him why he’s laughing like that when she said that she was angry. Soo informs her with a wide grin 「や、リリスがオレの口真似するの可愛いな~と思って」(It’s just that I was thinking about how cute you are when you’re imitating the way I speak). She starts to blush as she admits that just doing it made her feel embarrassed. She explains that as an acolyte she couldn’t use the words that Soo does, so she wanted to try it out and see if it fit. Then she asks him if it was really that strange.

He tells her 「おかしい・・・、って言うより可愛かった。こう、小さな子が兄貴の口調真似するみたいで」(It’s more cute than strange. Like.. a young child copying their older brother’s way of speaking). Lilith blushes again and tells him not to say those things since she’s feeling even more embarrassed now. He snickers and tells her that he’ll treat her for being so cute. He gets her a sandwich and he ends up taking a bite out of hers, which annoys her since it was a large bite. He offers Lilith his to try and to pacify her.

This embarrasses her since it’s like an indirect kiss, but she ends up taking a large bite out of his as payback. Soo complains and so then they playfully bicker over who ate more. Then she confesses to him that she’s a bit worried about eating the sandwich since she’s an acolyte and they’re not supposed to have such luxuries. Soo tells her to relax since Nayuta is around and then he comments on how hard it must be to have strict gods like Ingrid and Dodona’s. He’s glad Dinus doesn’t have rules about what to eat or not.

Lilith giggles at the thought of Soo being a worshipper of Ingrid and he shudders at the thought. Then he tells her to relax more since she’s in Dinus and the god of Dinus won’t mind if she enjoys her food. Anyway, the party returns to Madam to find out that Nico has already left to Midvan and so they decide to follow him and to find Midvan’s Vakista. They detour through Wolf’s Chanze to try and lose the bounty hunter that Kirite and Nayuta noticed, but they get attacked.

They manage to get out of the forest without being injured though after Kirite and Soo scare away their attacker. But they’re soon attacked by a huge sand worm. Soo quickly pulls Lilith to his side to protect her, but then they yell at her to run since they don’t want her to get caught up in the fight. However, as she runs she gets chased by another one. She stops to save a wolf puppy though and it nearly gets her killed, but she’s saved by the bounty hunter. Afterwards, the party decides to make camp in a cave in the desert.

After dinner, Lilith realizes that Soo is gone and so she takes a cup of hot coffee and leaves the fire to find him. It turns out that he’s sitting in an alcove that hid him from sight and when she asks if he isn’t cold, he tells her that he would be lying if he said no but he can bear it. Lilith smiles slyly as she asks if he doesn’t want the hot coffee that she brought to him then and if she should drink both cups. Soo’s eyes widen as he tells her to wait and that he’s very grateful to her good will.

She tells him with a laugh that it was a joke and hands it to him. He thanks her and takes a sip of it. Then she tells him that with this he won’t catch a flu due to the cold. Soo tells her with a grin that with this he’s fine, but it’s also said that idiots can’t catch colds. Lilith apprehensively realizes that he’s calling himself an idiot. She asks him hesitantly if it’s alright if she agrees to that. Soo becomes confused as he asks her if something is wrong. She tells him that if he doesn’t notice anything then it’s fine.

Abruptly, Lilith tells him that it might not be the sea or the sunrise but looking at the moon while drinking coffee is nice. Soo is surprised that she remembered and then he promises her with a grin that next time they’ll really go to sea the sea and watch the sunrise while drinking coffee. Lilith tells him that she’ll look forward to it. Then Soo changes the subject and wonders out loud where all the sand came from and who brought it here. Lilith exasperatedly tells him that someone didn’t bring the sand, the land just became a desert.

But Soo stubbornly asks how such a desert came to be with its hot afternoons but cold nights. He points out that no one benefits from it. Lilith is surprised but then she suggests a camel. Soo is surprised that camels like the desert when it doesn’t seem to be able to support any life. He asks her if they like the desert so much that they live in it and she tells him hesitantly that they probably do. So then Soo tells her 「よし。後でナユナユにも教えてやろ~っと。リリスから聞いたって言って」(Alright, then later I’ll ask NayuNayu to tell me~. I’ll say I heard it from Lilith).

She pouts and tells him to stop it because Nayuta will surely be annoyed after they had such a hard day. Soo bursts into laughter and points out that, as he thought, Lilith is also afraid of NayuNayu. She explains that it’s because Nayuta is her senior. She’s just an acolyte while Nayuta is the captain of the holy knights of Ingrid. Soo asks her if that still applies even now and this leads her thoughts to the fact that Nayuta had to run away from Ingrid with her. She tells herself that she has to do her best.

Soo is surprised by her change in attitude and asks her what she’s thinking about and so she tells him that it’s her fault Nayuta had to leave Ingrid and so she’s going to work hard for Nayuta and save the world. That way she and Nayuta can explain everything to Remuna. Soo is silent and then he pokes her hard in the forehead which makes her wince in pain before she angrily asks him what he did that for. He tells her gravely 「リリスが可愛くないこと言うから」(Because you said something uncute).

He points out that if she says something like that then Nayuta won’t be able to rest in peace. Lilith tells him sternly that Nayuta isn’t dead and Soo just bursts into laughter again. She watches him laugh without a care and then he stares straight into her eyes as he reminds her that Nayuta decided, by himself, that he wasn’t going to kill Lilith. And so it’s uncute if she takes the responsibility because that’s the same thing as saying that Nayuta didn’t make the decision for himself.

Lilith tries to tell him that she wasn’t implying that at all, but she cuts herself off as she realizes what he’s getting at. Soo nods with a smile as he tells her that he knows she’s not doing that. He advises her not to steal the burden and responsibility from something a man has decided to do himself. Nayuta decided himself that he would protect Lilith. She stares at him silently with a fierce expression but then it disappears as she smiles and thanks him. Soo smirks and asks if she doesn’t want a poke in the forehead then.

She pouts and tells him that she doesn’t want one. He laughs again and just ruffles her hair. Then he gets up and suggests that they both go to sleep, since if she doesn’t get enough sleep then tomorrow will be tiring for her. She nods and then wishes him a good night. He also wishes her a good night and good dreams. The next day the party reaches Midvan and they find an inn to rest at, but then they meet Nate. He informs them that he’s dropped the job and implies that they don’t have to worry about other assassins coming after them.

Before he leaves he asks Lilith why she saved the wolf pup and if it’s because she mistook it for a dog. She admits that she doesn’t even know herself, but she just couldn’t leave it there. Then she finds out from the party that Nate is going to his death and this overcomes her with the urge to save him. The rest of the party agrees to help and so she goes out with Soo to collect information on the whereabouts of the great sage and Zanas Valley. She asks Soo what they should ask about first and he suggests the great sage.

If they ask about Zanas Valley, which sounds like a terrifying place, then the person they’re talking to might run away. Lilith is surprised by how there’s a place like that, but Soo tells her not to worry since he’s with her and he’ll knock out everyone who comes. They find a civilian and ask him about strange people and he tells them a rumor about a strange man saying that he wants to save the world and so he’s going to meet with the king. Soo nods along and points out that saving the world will grant him an audience.

The civilian grins and tells them that he was thrown out at the gates. Soo is surprised because it would have been better if the king met him. Lilith exasperatedly points out that normal people can’t simply meet with the king. Soo is surprised by that. Then they ask about Zanas Valley and the civilian tries to stop them from going. Soo thanks him for his worry, but they need to go there. He finally gives in when Lilith pleads with him and so he gives them directions but warns them of the Fenrir of Death, a monstrous wolf, that lives there.

They return to the inn to regroup with the party and then they set out to Zanas Valley with Lilith staying close to Soo for protection. The mountain road continues on and on though and Kirite is worried for Lilith since she’s having troubles with the road. Nayuta wonders if they should have looked for an easier path. She tries to tell them that she’s fine but Soo tells her 「大丈夫じゃなさそうみてーだな。ほら、リリス。手、貸してやるよ」(You don’t seem to be fine. Here, Lilith. Give me your hand). She stubbornly tells him that she’s fine though. Soo tells her not to push herself too far though.

Lilith nods but then explains that she’s the one who wanted to go to Zanas Valley, and so it seems wrong for her to give up. Soo falls silent and then he tells her that he doesn’t think that. When she looks at him in confusion he tells her that he’s not sure what he should say, but it’s impossible for her to be able to do everything. For example, he’s good at beating things up but he’s terrible at thinking. He points out 「だからオレが困ってるときには、リリスが一緒に考えてくれりゃいい。一緒に考えてくれるだろ?」(That’s why when I’m troubled I think it’s better if I think with you. We can think together right?).

She tells him that of course they can which makes him tell her 「だろ?それと一緒だ。オレは、リリスを手伝ってやりてーの」(Right? We’re together in this. I want to help you). Lilith thanks him and then shyly admits that it’ll help her if he gives her a hand. He smiles and then grabs her hand. Lilith can’t help but notice how warm and large it is compared to hers. As they walk, she finds it much more easier since he helps to give her balance. When she trips, he steadies her by grabbing her arm. Camus whispers in her ear that it’s nice.

During their first meeting with Soo, Camus thought he was just a good-for-nothing drunkard and gambler. But he’s like an older brother with his kindness. Lilith agrees since she can see that. Soo asks her if she’s alright, since he notices her thinking, but she tells him that it’s nothing. He lets the topic slide and cheers her on by saying that there’s just a bit more to go. Lilith smiles brightly and nods. At this, Soo tells her 「お、可愛い笑顔だな。オレも力湧いてきたよ」(Oh, that’s a cute smile. It’s giving me strength).

Lilith tells him that he’s exaggerating. Soo smirks and tells her 「おおげさなもんか。なんだったら、オレがお姫様だっこして連れてってやろうか?」(An exaggeration, huh? Then how about I carry you bridal style?). Her eyes widen as she reassures him that she’s fine and then she starts to blush because that’d be too embarrassing. He teases her by saying 「遠慮しなくていいんだぜ」(You don’t have to be reserved). She informs him that she’s happy enough to just receive the feeling in his offer. Soo drops the subject, but he tells her to let him know if she’s getting tired. He’ll try to do something.

She thanks him again and then lets him know that if there’s something she can do then he should tell her. Not just for help in thinking, but anything. Soo blushes and tells her 「・・・おう。そんときは・・・頼むな」(.. Ou. When that time comes.. I’ll count on you). They reach Zanas Valley and Soo decides to be the first one to go in and examine their surroundings. He tells Kirite and NayuNayu that he’ll be leaving Lilith in their care. Nayuta snaps at him not to call him by that name, but then tells him that he doesn’t need to worry about Lilith.

He should concentrate on himself. Soo replies 「へーい」(Alri~ght) which makes Nayuta snap out 「返事ははいと短く!」(Reply with a short “Yes”!). But Soo just replies 「へーい!」(Oka~y!) and then he runs away from Nayuta and heads in without any nervousness. The moment he steps into the room arrows are shot at him, but he easily dodges them and locates the archers. There is no fear in his face, only a feeling of fun, as he approaches them and dodges their arrows. Soo tells them that they won’t be able to hit him and he would only be in trouble if they were like Nate.

Soo knocks them out easily and then Kirite asks if he was injured, but Soo asks him if he wasn’t watching the whole fight. Kirite tells him lightly that he was just asking out of concern. Anyway, they find Nate fighting the guild leader and just as he’s about to lose he transforms into a werewolf and wins. Lilith tells him that she’s not going to use him and she manages to get past his harsh words to awaken his Vakista powers. Nate becomes fully healed and then he helps the party take down the sand worm that appears with the Sacred Nebulim.

*** EPISODE 「祝福と呪いと」(A blessing or a curse?) ***

After Nate joins their party they return to Midvan to talk to Kadash, the king of Midvan, and they manage to gain an audience by using Kirite’s and Soo’s name since they’re both princes. Kadash informs them of the bounty that Ingrid put on them but he wishes to remain neutral and so he won’t stop them. And as thanks for taking care of the assassin’s guild, he informs them that the great sage is in Savila. The party decide to return to Dinus to borrow the military train to the coast where they can then ride a boat to Savila.

They have to cross the desert again though and so they end up setting camp in the same cave that they did last time for the night. Lilith soon finds herself stepping away from the fire to stare into the desert as she thinks about her task of saving the world. Suddenly Soo’s voice 「あれ?リリス、まだ起きてたのかよ?寝たほうがいいんじゃないの?夜更かしはお肌に悪いぜ」(Eh? Lilith, you’re still awake? Wouldn’t it be better to go to sleep? Staying up late is bad for the skin, you know). He jokingly tells her that it’s very dry here and she’ll become an old lady tomorrow if she remains out here.

Lilith bushes with embarrassment and tells him that won’t happen and he shouldn’t say scary things. He just comments on how she’s back to herself now. When she looks confused he tells her that she looked like she was about to die. She exclaims that he’s lying and he agrees easily. She growls in irritation and tells him not to tease her. Soo tells her that he was lying about how she looked like she was going to die, but she had a gloomy and expressionless face. She’s surprised and a bit embarrassed that he saw that side of her.

And so she tries to cover up her blushing cheeks with her hands, but Soo comments on how her cheeks look soft and he decides to poke them. She pouts and tries to knock his hands away, but he pokes her and then he hisses in surprise at how cold she is. He asks if she’s alright but she tells him that she doesn’t feel cold at all. He points out that her skin is freezing though and she might be too far from the fire, but Lilith stubbornly tells him that she’s fine. He tells her 「・・・大丈夫には見えないな。つーことで、オレが温めてやる」(.. You don’t look fine at all. And so, I’ll warm you up).

She blinks in confusion and the next thing she knows Soo’s face approaches her and then he cups her face with both hands. She stutters out his name in surprise but he just tells her with a grin 「ほら、これであったかいだろ?」(Here, isn’t it warm like this?). Lilith agrees shyly and then he says in a gentle voice different than his usual cheery tones 「オレの体温好きなだけ持ってけ。な?」(You can take my warmth whenever you like. Okay?). His actions are kind and while she does feel warm she also feels like she’s going to become feverish. He notices that she seems to be warm now and so he releases her.

Lilith thanks him for warming her up, but he just waves it off and then asks if she can’t sleep. When she nods he asks if she slept in too long in the afternoon or if she’s too full from dinner. She giggles but shakes her head and tells him that she’s just thinking about things. Soo looks confused as he asks her what she could be thinking about and if she’s thinking about tomorrow’s meal. She glares at him and asks why he thinks she would only think about food. He tells her with a grin that the only thing a person could be troubled over is food.

She’s silent for a long time before she reminds him that there’s a lot to think about such as saving the world. COME ON SOO GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER. EVEN LILITH ISN’T IMPRESSED. He’s surprised that she’s troubled over that while she starts to get depressed over how lightly he’s treating everything, but then he calls her amazing. She asks what’s amazing about being unable to sleep and so he explains that he’s never had a time where he was too troubled to fall asleep. He has woken up in the night because he was hungry, too hot, or too full though.

The only other time he’s unable to sleep is if he slept too much in the afternoon. Lilith stares at him flatly and asks if that’s true and he nods. Then she tells him that she thinks it’d be better if he became just a little bit more serious. Soo grumbles halfheartedly and informs her that he does think, it’s just a little. He also confesses that in the past he used to be jealous of people who think so much that they can’t sleep because of how earnest and serious they were. Lilith asks if he’s never had anything he was serious about.

Soo shrugs and replies that he’s a Jack of all trades and so he’s been able to do everything. Lilith ends up saying that she thinks it’s good if he stays true to himself. He’s surprised to hear this from her, but she continues on to say that everyone has their own way of thinking. When she sees him having fun and being carefree then she starts to feel carefree. His voice is awed as he asks her if that’s really true and Lilith nods before telling him that right now she can’t sleep because she’s been thinking too much, but she’s feeling better now thanks to him.

He blushes as he admits that he’s never heard those words up until now. Everyone was just always angry at him for not taking things seriously enough. He pats her on the head and she blushes too as he thanks her. But then she thanks him back since she feels lighter after talking to him and so now she thinks that she can sleep well. Soo tells her that he’s glad for that and then she asks him if he’s also feeling lighter and happier. He grins as he tells her that he’s always happy and energetic. She tells him that she’s glad for that.

And then Soo reminds her that she should really be going to sleep soon, since tomorrow is an early day which will be even worse for her skin after a late night like this. She promises to learn from him how to stop being so serious and then they wish each other good night. The party makes it back to Dinus and Soo splits off from the party to speak to Banstine, his father and king of Dinus, for permission to use the military train. However, it turns out that Banstine wants to see the party. They have an audience with him and when he asks Lilith if she holds a grudge towards Remuna, Lilith tells him that she doesn’t.

Banstine approves of her and this makes her cry in joy. Her tears get wiped away by Banstine and then he comments on how Soo has good taste in women. The party heads towards the coast in the train and Kirite tells them the story of what happened to Savila. When the party reaches Savila they find out that there’s a revival project happening and they also find Nico in the palace. Lilith asks him about the small trick he did to them in Dodona and he explains everything, including how he’s going to raise Kirite’s father, Kaien, to find out if Savila is the origin of the love lost.

Lilith wants to find out what happened but it isn’t her decision to make. Kirite agrees though and so Nico performs the ritual, but it’s interrupted by a Sacred Nebulim. Kirite flies into a rage at seeing his father disappear for a second time and just as he’s about to lose, Lilith summons Kirite’s father back out of desperation. Kirite regains his focus with the help of his father’s words and then he kills the Sacred Nebulim. When the cut-off arm tries to kill Lilith, Soo punches it away. He makes a comment on how he dislikes rude men. When Lilith thanks him, he tells her that this was nothing.

The party finds out that Savila wasn’t the origin of love lost and that Rognar destroyed it with weapon that they were guarding. Kirite promises to recover it and then Nico suggests that they head towards Amafi. They meet Luverchi during their boat ride to Amafi though and they find out the true story about how Rognar is their sibling and they can’t harm him as fellow gods. Lilith promises to stop Rognar in their place. Upon reaching Amafi, Camus demonstrates the power of the spirits around and he becomes larger. Then he informs them that Lilith will need to demonstrate her bond with someone to get into Amafi.

*** EPISODE 「敵の姿」(The enemy’s appearance) ***

Lilith decides to explore the waterfall with the party. Soo excitedly talks about how he wants to jump off from the top, but Nayuta points out that it’s 30 meters high and he’ll die. Kirite, Nate, and Camus support this fact but Soo still has the urge to. When Lilith asks if he even knows how to swim he tells her cheerfully that he doesn’t because Dinus only had small rivers. Everyone once again repeats that he’ll die and finally Soo decides to discard the idea of jumping off from the waterfall.

As she explores around she realizes that the area around the bank is slippery and then all of a sudden Soo leaps out and yells loudly. She screams and flails around but she doesn’t fall and when she catches her breath she angrily asks him what he was trying to do. Soo laughs cheerfully and reassures her that he would never let her fall and if she did then he’d take responsibility and save her, even if he can’t swim. Lilith informs him with a flat expression that she’d be thankful except she knows he just wants an excuse to jump in.

Soo laughs nervously and asks if he was found out. She tells him that he is and then he changes the subject to how his teacher came to a place like this to train. Then he admits that he’s never trained like this before. She realizes out loud that Dinus doesn’t have any waterfalls, to which Soo agrees but that’s not all. He doesn’t need to train because he’s a genius. Lilith sighs in exasperation at how normal it is to hear him say that about himself, but she has to admit that he is strong. Soo grins proudly and tells her that he thought she’d think so too.

Then he admits that if he said it like this then Madam would have called him arrogant. This makes Lilith nostalgic since they haven’t seen Madam for a while. Soo abruptly tells her that he’s only ever done things that were fun for himself. When she looks at him in confusion he informs her that it would be impossible for him to live a strict and serious life like NayuNayu and her. Lilith agrees that she can’t see him living like that. He admits that he’s never tried living like that, but he has no interest. At Lilith’s silence, he hurriedly adds that he’s not calling her or NayuNayu idiots.

He can see that it takes great strength for them to live the way they do. He would never be able to do that. Lilith gently tells him to go on since she’s listening. And so he tells her that up until now all he needs to do is have fun and the results will always be what he wants. It’s like how he can easily win the battle tournament. But lately he’s been wondering if that’s a good thing because everyone is feeling troubled, but they’re continuing to move forward with a serious attitude. Soo wonders self-consciously if it’s alright for him to stay like this.

Lilith says his name softly, but he continues on to say that even though he’s thinking this, in the end he doesn’t want to go out of his way to find painful and bitter things to do. She tells him that working hard doesn’t mean he has to suffer. Soo is surprised at that since he thinks that there’s no meaning in training if it’s not painful. She doesn’t think that it has to be painful and bitter and it could be a happy thing. She points out that for example he trained under his teacher because he wanted to be strong. Soo agrees with a smile that he learned a lot of things from his teacher and it was fun.

She points out that what he did was also training. Soo is confused as he tells her that he didn’t feel pained at all because he loves to fight. She realizes out loud that the problem might be because of that. When he looks at her in more confusion she explains that he’s working hard. But he’s having so much fun while he’s working hard that he’s confusing the two. Soo falls silent and his brows are furrowed before he finally compliments her for being so amazing even though she’s younger than him.

Even though she looks like a delicate young girl, she’s promised to save the world and that makes her strong. Lilith disagrees loudly though because everyone is always protecting her. Soo hurriedly corrects himself to say that it’s her heart that is strong, especially because she listened to him talk. She agrees with a smile that there seems to be things that only she can do, but then she adds that she enjoys listening to him talk. Soo repeats her words about having things that only he could do and so he tells her that protecting her is what he can do.

Lilith blushes and points out that the way he said it made it sound embarrassing. Soo turns red too and admits to feeling embarrassed himself. Then suddenly his eyes widen as he points to something behind her. Soo asks if that is really the gate of Amafi and then he cheers at how Lilith’s power was so great that she opened it. She reminds him that it wasn’t just her, it was the power of their bond. Soo blushes again and says 「お、おう・・・。あー~~っ、なんだこの気恥ずかしさはっ!」(Ye-Yeah… Ahhh~~, what is this really embarrassing feeling!?).

She tells him not to say it out loud like that because her face is turning red, and then she hurriedly changes the subject to how they should find the others. Soo suggests that they wait until they’re both calm before they find everyone else. And Lilith agrees. THESE TWO ARE A BAKAPPURU ( *´艸`)クスッ♪. The party enters Amafi and Horo informs them that he’s woken up Heathcliff for them. He also begs for them to stop Rognar who is his twin brother. Camus locates an inn for them to rest at but Lilith receives a visitor at her door.

It turns out to be Soo who thought she might have wanted to know when they were meeting the grandpa dragon. They’re going to meet him in the morning before they pack up everything which amazes Lilith with the speed of it. Soo points out that Heathcliff must have had a rude awakening and he definitely wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep after Horo woke him up. Lilith thanks him for telling her and then the two of them fall silent. After a while, she asks him slowly if there was something else.

Soo blushes as he says 「や、リリスが疲れてなきゃでいいんだけどさ。ちょっと街中見て歩かねー?」(Um, if you’re tired it’s fine, but do you want to take a walk and look around the town for a bit?). She agrees after he tells her that since they’re already here they might as well sightsee. The two of them walk around Amafi without a destination in mind and they have fun by making fun of the shops around them. They finally reach the exit to Amafi though and then Lilith notices that Soo has become strangely quiet.

He finally asks her why they were allowed to enter into this country. Lilith tells him that it’s because Amafi approved of their bond. Soo replies in a strange tone as if he were reassuring himself 「・・・そうなんだよなあ。認められたんだよなあ。そうじゃないと、入れないもんな」(… I guess you’re right. We must have been approved of. If we weren’t, then we couldn’t have entered). She reminds him that Camus was the one who said that and then she starts to blush as she realizes how embarrassing it is to think about their bond being approved of.

But then Soo asks her with a serious face what she thinks the bond between them is. Lilith truthfully answers that she doesn’t know what it is, but she does know that there is one. He replies 「んん。オレもさ、リリスのこと大事にしてやりてーって思うんだ」(Mm. I also think that I want to treasure you) and he also wants to protect her. But he doesn’t know if he wants to do these because he’s a Vakista or if there’s another meaning behind them. She nods quietly, but then he changes the subject to how he wants to thank her. Ever since his teacher died, he did nothing but stay in Dinus.

If he didn’t meet her then he’s sure that he would still be in Dinus living a meaningless life. She’s uncertain about that because she thinks that he’ll be just fine without her and that he’ll be able to stand up by himself and continue to move forward. Soo chuckles and shrugs his shoulders. When she looks at him in confusion he comments on how she believed in him from the start. During the battle tournament she believed that he would win and even now she believes in him. He still thinks of himself as a worthless man though. He informs her that this is why he’ll never betray her.

And then he pats her on the head again and she can feel his warmth through her hood. She blushes since she finds the heat comfortable and it feels as if the powers of Dinus are being conveyed through Soo’s Vakista powers. Then Soo tells her 「今はさ。まだこの気持ちが何なのかよくわかんねーけど、おまえのことはオレがぜってー守ってやるから、安心してろよ」(Right now, I still don’t know what these feelings are, but.. I will definitely protect her, so you can relax). Lilith gives him a bright smile and tells him that she’ll count on him then. The two of them exchange grins and a smile. Lilith thinks she’ll have a good dream because of this warm feeling welling up in her.

The next day they meet Heathcliff and they find out that he won’t do anything to help or stop them, since he thinks it might be the fate of the world to be destroyed. In her room at night, Lilith hears Luverchi become consumed by something and then a Sacred Nebulim appears to attack her. The rest of the party saves her in time though and then Camus’ Vakista powers are awakened when he expresses the desire to stay large in order to protect Lilith. Anyway, they plan to use Amafi’s portals to jump to Dodona but Nico suggests that they head to Midvan first so that he can pick something up.

*** EPISODE 「聖女として」(As a saint) ***

Lilith is reluctant to do so because she wants to head to Dodona, but Nico reassures her that he’ll be able to get them to Dodona instantly. When they reach Midvan they find that it has started to show signs of love lost. They hurry to see Kadash, the king of Midvan, and then Lilith helps Nico claim the airship. They decide to fly to Dinus to see Madam and she blinks in surprise at the sight of a large Camus. Soo pouts at her lack of a reaction since he was hoping for her to be more surprised.

She just smirks and asks him who he thinks she is and then she asks them where they came from, since she thought they were visiting one of the closed countries and yet here they are. Soo makes a remark about how she seems to be losing her touch in her old age and she smacks him for saying such rude things. Soo cries out in pain and Lilith smiles at how normal everything is. Even though the world is approaching destruction she can still feel happy in this moment. Anyway, Madam asks them if they’ve found out how to get rid of the love lost.

The party explains everything they’ve learned to her. They tell her about how love lost is a curse placed on Yufisu and that two of the three holy gods are dead and this has quickened the love lost. Madam informs them that Dinus has also started to become afflicted by the love lost. So far it’s only been the thugs that have been afflicted and Madam thought it wasn’t anything to worry about, since it seemed like they just caught a cold. But now they’re living as if they’re zombies and she’s realized how grave the situation is.

If the party doesn’t do something soon then the whole world will be enveloped in love lost. Madam reminds them that she’ll always support them though and if they need anything they can just ask her. As they leave the room, Soo asks Lilith if she wants to see his father with him. And so they go to meet Banstine and when he asks why they came out here, Lilith thanks him for granting them permission to use the train. Banstine looks amused at the thought that she came all the way out here just to say that. Soo informs him that he only came to see his old man’s face.

Anyway, Banstine asks how their journey is progressing but Soo can only shrug and tell him that it’s so-so. Lilith defends Soo by saying that she was saved a lot thanks to him. It’s thanks to Soo that she’s able to keep her determination and he always saves her in dangerous situations. Banstine tells her that he’s happy she’s defending his son, but those are just the things a man should do. Then he asks Lilith to report on Savila and she explains about the love lost and how Savila is completely destroyed and scarred.

After he listens to her he asks her what he should do, which surprises her. Banstine points out that he’s not a scholar and so all he knows is that the love lost is something dangerous that needs to be stopped, but what can he do. He asks her if she’s found the person who has cursed Yufisu, but Lilith can only remain silent. Soo interrupts at this point and lightly tells his father not to make such a big ruckus about it because they’ll do something. They don’t know who their opponent is yet but Lilith is the saint and he’s her Vakista. He’s decided to support her and save the world.

Banstine chuckles and tells Soo that he’s surprised to hear those words come out of his mouth and then he asks him if he thinks he can do it. Soo shrugs at that and simply replies that he won’t know until he tries. Banstine informs them that he’ll look forward to it then and that goes for Lilith as well. He wants proof that she’s the saint. Lilith tells him determinedly that she understands and if she saves the world then that’s proof that she’s the saint. She won’t give up until she does.

He approves of that and then he tells the two of them that if they fail though, then he doesn’t want to see their faces again. Not even his son, because he won’t want a real idiot for one. Banstine then concludes their talk and reminds them that he will also do whatever he can to aid them and so if they need anything then they can come to him. However, they should also bring news about their progress to him. The party returns to their airship and then they decide to take a break in the Forested Marjune. While everyone else goes to their favorite place, Soo and Lilith head to the lake.

Soo comments on how it’s a nice place and Lilith agrees with a smile. It’s calm and no matter where they go it’s peaceful here. Soo informs her that when he lived in Dinus he never saw beautiful places like these, but he likes the liveliness in the alleys of Dinus. Lilith giggles and remarks on how it resembles Soo. He nostalgically recalls how he would tease Madam and then she would chase after him through the alleys. Then he apologizes for talking about such boring things but Lilith shakes her head and tells him that she likes listening to him.

It gives her a better idea of who he is. Then she comments on how the Soo and Madam from the past haven’t changed at all. He grumpily agrees with how she’s still as noisy as ever and her hand is just as fast. Lilith giggles and tells him that it’s Madam’s love. Soo tells her in a frightened voice that he doesn’t want that kind of harsh love. But then he admits quietly that after his mother died Madam was the one who looked after him. She was also the one who took him to the casino for the first time, to which he lost all his money. Soo then recalls that Madam mentioned that she failed when she brought him to the casino.

He doesn’t understand what she means by that though, even though Lilith realizes it immediately. Soo is confused as he tells her that he’s really thankful to Madam for showing him such a fun thing though. Lilith winces at the thought of Madam’s angry face if she heard those words. Then Soo changes the subject to how beautiful the lake is and how it resembles a mirror. Lilith agrees and then recalls how Camus said that this lake reflected the contents of one’s heart. Soo becomes interested and asks if she wants to test it out, but Lilith refuses.

This just makes Soo interested as he asks if she has something in her heart that she’s afraid to show him. Lilith bluffs by saying that she doesn’t think she has anything that she’ll be troubled over if he sees. But he just smirks and says 「ふっふっふ、大丈夫分かってるぜ?すっげーオレが大好きなのがバレると怖いからなんだろ?」(Fufufu, it’s okay I understand. You’re afraid of finding out how much you love me, right?). Lilith bursts out laughing at that and Soo falls quiet with a surprised face. She continues to giggle as she asks him what’s wrong.

And so he awkwardly admits that while he said those words to make her laugh, hearing her burst out laughing like that kind of hurts. Lilith starts laughing harder at that since she thinks he’s still joking. IT’S LIKE HE’S BEING FRIEND ZONED プッ(※థэథ)∵.*.∵. She apologizes when she sees his shoulders slump but he pouts and tells her that he’s not going to forgive her and as punishment she needs to look into the lake. Lilith grimaces and admits that she’s really scared actually.

He jokingly mentions that it’s as he thought then and she’s scared of finding out how much she loves him. Lilith shakes her head and confesses that she’s actually afraid of seeing her worries and what she really fears. Soo is taken aback by her seriousness but then he chides her for thinking so much. He orders her to take deep breaths and to relax and focus on one thing at a time. Lilith follows his instructions and then she thanks him with a soft smile, since she feels a little more relaxed now. Soo is embarrassed but also glad for her.

Lilith realizes out loud that though she can’t help but worry, she also needs to relax. Soo is happy that she understands, but then she admits that even though she thinks that she can’t help but feel impatient. Soo becomes thoughtful before he points out that he thinks that’s her charm. She’s stronger than him in that she always continues to walk forward even when she’s lost. Lilith doesn’t understand because he’s also strong. Soo agrees with a smile that he’s strong, but his strength is different from her’s.

To him she’s always looking forward and he longs to have her kind of strength. He apologizes for not being able to say it very well, but he thinks her strength is one of the reasons he’s following her. Lilith remains quiet and then Soo regains his cheer as he tells her that he’ll do whatever he can with his strength. He’ll protect her, but he also wants her to prevent her heart from being broken. Lilith blinks in confusion and so he explains that while he might be strong he can only physically protect her.

He tells her 「リリスの心を守るのは、リリスにしかできねえ。オレにはできねーことなんだよ。だから・・・」(The only person who can protect your heart.. is yourself. I can’t do that. That’s why..). Lilith nods and thanks him before telling him that she understands. The party then heads to Dodona only to find that all the villagers are missing. Lilith starts to think that it’s her fault but Soo comforts her by telling her not to worry since there are no signs of a struggle. He’s sure that everyone is fine because they’re priests just like those in Ingrid.

Nayuta, Kirite, Camus, and Lilith reminisce about their meeting in the shrine and how their journey began here. Lilith finds that her determination and will to save the world has strengthened and then they return to Dinus for information. Ingrid has been hit the hardest and everyone is losing faith. Midvan’s desert is expanding and everyone has lost their will. Savila’s restoration project doesn’t seem to have been afflicted yet. Amafi will remain safe with Heathcliff’s barrier to protect it.

Nico suggests that they all split up so that everyone can visit their home while they search for Rognar. Kirite goes to Savila, Camus to Heathcluff, Nayuta will try to talk to Remuna, and Nate to Midvan. Nico asks Lilith if she wants to babysit the airship with him, but Soo asks Lilith if she wants to go and see Banstine with him. (°Д°)ハァ? B-BUT.. WE JUST DID A FEW HOURS AGO? IN FACT WE TALKED TO MADAM ABOUT THE WORLD ALREADY BEFORE GOING TO MARJUNE. IT SERIOUSLY FEELS LIKE ONLY A FEW HOURS PASSED AND NOW WE’RE BACK TO BOTHER THEM AGAIN.

When Lilith looks at him in surprise he tells her 「ダイナスはオレ担当だろ?でもオレ一人じゃさみしーしさ。な、いいだろ?」(I’m in charge of Dinus right? But I’ll be lonely alone, so won’t you come?). Lilith agrees slowly but then she chides him for saying that, because she knows he really just doesn’t want to be scolded alone. Camus grumbles at that but Kirite tells him that he doesn’t need to look so unhappy since he shouldn’t mind if it’s Soo. Anyway, Lilith and Soo head to the palace to meet Banstine who asks them if they found their enemy yet.

She shakes her head at that and he reminds them that he told them not to trouble him unless they had made progress, but Lilith informs him that they came to ask about what he’s doing to counter the love lost. Banstine tells her that they’re handing out food to people because even though they’ve lost the will to live they still need food. He’s also implemented a system for people to report those who have been affected by the love lost. Then Banstine asks Soo what he’s been doing to help save the world.

Soo remains silent though which makes Banstine taunts him by asking him where his usual answer is. Soo replies with irritation that he can’t just give a half-hearted answer in a situation like this. Banstine chuckles at the surprising answer and reminds Soo that he said he would do something, but why won’t he say it now? Soo angrily replies that he doesn’t even know what that something he should do is. Banstine laughs at him and tells him not to get so worked up, because he’s become more mature.

Lilith and Soo just looked confused and so Banstine explains that when people are thinking seriously they start to choose their words more carefully. Up until now, Soo has never done that. Soo averts his eyes as he tells his father that it’s no longer just him. If he fools around then it’ll reflect on Lilith. Banstine tells Soo that he’s become weak, to which Soo angrily asks if there’s a problem with that. Banstine chuckles and shakes his head, because it is only when one is weak that one is at their most careful. And because they fear failure they will have a higher chance of choosing the right path.

Soo thinks his father might be right and then he falls silent. Lilith is surprised to see Soo’s serious face for the first time. Banstine roars with laughter and comments on how Soo really is his son. Even though his son is troubled he knows that Soo will be able to punch open a new path. Banstine tells Lilith to also remember that a path will be opened if she overcomes her worries. The two of them leave the palace and Lilith asks Soo what happened to him back there, because it was like he was a different person when he became serious.

He plays dumb though and asks her what she means and that it was probably just her imagination. He starts to look distracted as he tells her that he’s going to go to a nearby place and she can return first. When she asks him why he’s going there all of a sudden, Soo reassures her that it isn’t anything important. She asks if she can go with him though, which surprises him. When Soo falls silent she asks if she’s not allowed to, which makes him reassure her hurriedly that she can come along. But it won’t be a very interesting place.

Lilith doesn’t mind though as long as they’re going there together. Soo ends up taking her to a cemetery and he shows her his teacher’s grave. Lilith is surprised and then she asks him what he’s doing here, but even Soo doesn’t know. He just felt like he wanted to see his teacher again and ask him something. He laughs derisively at himself because he knows he won’t get a response. Lilith stays silent out of respect before she asks him what kind of a person his teacher was. Soo instantly replies that his teacher was amazingly strong.

Soo chuckles at that and tells her that they can’t even compare. Just standing, his presence was completely different from Soo’s and it was like he was born to fight. He was a huge and strong man. Lilith smiles gently as she tells Soo that she would have liked to meet his teacher. He’s surprised at that, but she points out that he really looked up to his teacher. Soo explains that he considered his teacher like his father since he was brought up by his teacher because he lived apart from his real father.

Lilith explains that that’s why she wants to meet his teacher because she’d have liked to ask him about what kind of a child Soo was like. Soo’s eyes widen as he tells her that his childhood wasn’t anything important. But he also wonders what kind of face his teacher would have made if he met Lilith. Lilith remarks on how he must have really loved his teacher. Soo agrees but his teacher is now dead. When she asks how it happened, Soo tells her with a strained voice that his teacher became involved in a fight with a drunk and died after being stabbed.

Soo finds it almost ridiculous how his teacher was so strong and wouldn’t die to people who wanted to kill him, but then he dies to a drunk. Soo clenches his fist and Lilith sympathizes with how much pain Soo must feel knowing that his strong father figure died to a drunk. Then Soo tells her that his teacher always told him to have his fists ready and not to be unprepared and yet it’s laughably ironic how he died to a drunkard. And then he admits that he still doesn’t understand his teacher’s last words to him.

His teacher told him that a clenched fist can never grab anything. Soo’s voice cracks as he says 「・・・意味、わかんねーよ。全部、全部。意味、わかんねー」(.. I don’t understand the meaning of it.. All of it.. everything.. I don’t UNDERSTAND!). He points out that his teacher told him to keep his fists clenched and yet he died. He almost wants to blame his teacher for being unprepared. Soo repeats his teacher’s words about how a clenched fist can’t grab anything and then he asks out loud which one it’s supposed to be.

Lilith realizes that Soo’s thoughts are in disorder and she looks down at the ground in sadness. If only his teacher were still alive to clear everything up for him, or if only he protected his last words. She knows that because Soo treasured his teacher so much he’s not sure which of his teacher’s words he should choose and which one he should betray. Then Soo asks her what he can grab with these clenched fists of his. He wonders out loud if he’s allowed to grab the things that he wants. Lilith tells him that she thinks it’s fine.

She doesn’t know what his teacher would say, but she does know one thing. That he probably loved Soo and would wish for his happiness. She’s sure that he would wish for Soo to fight for what he wants and to take what he wants. Soo hesitantly agrees with her and then tells her that he might have been waiting all this time for someone to say that to him. He also might have came here to tell his teacher that he would choose a different path. Soo kneels in front of his teacher’s grave and tells him that he doesn’t know if he’s walking a path different from the one his teacher wanted him to walk.

But he knows that he won’t give up on what his teacher gave up on. He asks his teacher not to get mad and then confesses that up until now this is his second life-changing decision he’s made, although he hasn’t lived very long. The first of his important decisions had been to apprentice himself to his teacher. The second is deciding to follow Lilith. He wonders out loud if that’s fine and then tells his teacher that one day he’ll meet him and ask him for his answer, but right now he’s deciding to walk his own path. The two of them return to the palace to see Banstine.

Lilith is worried though because Banstine might get angry, to which Soo shrugs and admits that it’s a possibility. However, they won’t know until they try. Banstine greets them flatly and asks if they have something new to report or if they forgot something. Soo tells him that it’s none of these and he just has something to say to his father. He tells Banstine that he might be an idiot and so he doesn’t know if he can do anything, but he’ll definitely do something. Banstine notices that Soo sounds more confident in himself. His words were the same from last time, yet they’re also different. He asks Soo what changed.

Soo tells him slowly that up until now he’s just used his fists for beating his opponents. But now he wants to try reaching for things that are farther away. He wants to open up a path that he can walk on. Soo wants to find a meaning for his clenched fists. Banstine asks if Soo came all this way out just to tell him this, to which Soo asks if he shouldn’t have. Banstine tells him that it wasn’t and then he starts to laugh after he repeats Soo’s words about finding a meaning behind his clenched fists.

This makes Soo ask Banstine if he’s making fun of him, but Banstine informs them that it’s the exact opposite. His idiot son is finally growing up and taking a step forward. Soo asks him in confusion what he means, but Banstine tells him that Soo might have taken a small step or a large step forward. Soo replies that he still doesn’t understand. Banstine continues on though and tells him to treasure his fists and that he has something for him. It turns out to be clothes and he tells Soo to put it on since it suits him now.

After he changes Soo asks Lilith if it fits him. She smiles and tells him that he looks cool. He asks her 「・・・マジ?」(.. Really?) and she replies using his slang 「ふふっ。マジマジ。よく似合ってるよ!」(Fufu. Really really. It looks good on you). He grins and steps closer to her before asking 「惚れ直した?」(Have you fallen in love with me again?). Lilith stares at him apprehensively and he pouts before telling her not to stare at him with such cold eyes. Anyway, he finds it easier to move in these clothes and so he thanks his father. THAT’S BECAUSE YOU’RE BARELY WEARING ANY..

Banstine informs them that those clothes are one of Dinus’ treasures. It has received the blessing from the god of Dinus and it’s made from the fur of a fire dragon. Soo comments on how it fits him well then as the Vakista of Dinus and that Banstine should have given it to him earlier. Banstine huffs and tells Soo flatly that the clothes were beyond the grasp of the him from before, it is only now that he’s able to wear them. Soo just pouts but he realizes that he’s being given these because he’s determined to save the world for real now.

Soo promises to save the world and to believe that these fists of him can reach anywhere. Then he tells Lilith that they should head out and he starts walking away. Before Lilith can follow him though Banstine stops her by calling her name out for the first time. He tells her that he’d like to thank her and he’s relying on her to take care of his idiotic son. When she blinks in surprise, he just tells her that he’s done talking and now it’s time for her to leave and prove to him that she’s the saint and for Soo to prove himself as his son by saving the world.

Lilith excuses herself and then she and Soo teleport to the Forested Marjune. While they’re waiting for the rest of the party to return, Lilith ends up alone in the forest. Soo finds her though and when she asks what he was doing, he tells her that he was just taking a stroll. But when she asks where he was going, he admits that he wondered what she was doing and so he came to find her. He comments on how things are a bit crazy right now and Lilith agrees quietly. She admits that sometimes she feels insecure, but she’s decided not to lose her spirit.

She tells him that she’s going to try her best, but if she does become depressed then she’d like his help. Soo smiles and softly tells her that if that time comes then she just needs to ask for it. Lilith smiles brightly and tells him that if everyone helps her then she’s sure she’ll get a hold of herself. He inhales sharply at that and then tells her that she’s completely different from him. Lilith thinks it’s kind of obvious since she’s a girl and he’s a boy, but he shakes his head.

It’s not about their physical appearance but the way they confront their inner self is completely the opposite. She’s always moving forward without giving up. She tells him that it’s because if she gave up then it would be the end. He admits to her that he gave up at the very start and so when he looks at her he finds her dazzling. He doesn’t think that he’s a match for her. And so from time to time he wonders if he might not belong here and if it’s really alright to be with her. Lilith reassures him that he’s needed.

His eyes widen but she continues to tell him that no matter what he thinks, she thinks he’s needed. He tries to protest, but she tells him that no matter how he feels he’s always there to save her. That fact doesn’t change. She tells him that if he’s by her side then she’ll be able to work hard and if their personalities are polar opposites then they match. She’ll take care of the things he can’t do and he’ll save her when she’s weak. Soo thanks her in a shaky voice and admits that thanks to her he feels like he can break through this.

Then he laughingly admits that he was right to think that she was amazing. Lilith blushes at that but he continues on to say that he feels like he can face his feelings with her by his side. He’ll follow her and fight for her until he dies and so if she just needs to tell him if she needs him to do anything. Lilith blushes and nods. Then they regroup with the party at the world tree and Soo shows off his new clothes while Nate shows off his bow. Then Rognar gives an announcement and Lilith becomes furious.

Soo tells her that he’s terrible with all these difficult things but he does know just one thing. Rognar is a really irritating person and so he wants to beat him up. The party returns to Madam for information and Lilith tells her that they have no choice but to fight. Nico informs them that Rognar is in Melrond and to reach him they need to modify the airship and so they must pick up some parts. Banstine eagerly helps them and then they visit Kadash where Lilith tells him that they can’t throw away their hope. Kadash finally believes in her and supports her journey.

Back in Dinus, Nico kicks them out of the airship so he can modify it in peace. When Lilith wanders the streets, Soo comes up to her and cheerfully says 「おっと!そこのかわいいお嬢さん。そんなところでなにやってんの?」(Woah! You there, the cute lady. Whatcha doing?). She looks up questioningly and then he asks her gently with a smile what she’s doing spacing out by herself. She tells him that she was thinking about things and he asks with a grin 「もしかしてオレのこと考えてたとか?」(Were you perhaps thinking of me?). She falls silent and looks to the ground with a troubled expression.

Soo pouts and tells her 「・・・って、黙んなよ~!」(.. Eh, don’t remain silent!). She nods and apologizes but then tells him that she was wondering if it’s alright for her to do this. When he looks at her questioningly she elaborates and asks if it’s alright for her to do nothing but sit and wait. He tells her lightly not to make such a troubled face because the great teacher, NicoNico, is modifying the airship right now. He thinks it’s fine for them to wait while Nico does that. Lilith confesses that she feels impatient for some reason.

He doesn’t understand why she would be and so she points out that the world is heading towards destruction and there’s still the problem of the love lost. He hums thoughtfully and then tells her that the love lost can be blown away by people just being in love, then he adds with a cheeky grin 「オレとリリスみたいにさ~!」(Like you and I~!). She stares at him sternly and asks him if he really thinks that now is the time for jokes.

Soo frowns and tells her 「え?冗談だと思われてる?オレはけっこうマジなんだけどなー」(Eh? You thought it was a joke? And here I was being reasonably serious–..). She falls silent, to which he responds 「いや、だから黙んないでくれってば!」(Ack, please don’t stay silent!). She tries to protest but he tells her seriously that humans have the power to repel the love lost. She tells him that she already knows that, but now she’s worried aobut if they can actually defeat Rognar. He just laughingly tells her not to worry so much, because she’ll get grey hairs.

Lilith reluctantly agrees but then he tells her promptly that he lied. Someone told him that being troubled and getting grey hair was a lie. Lilith smiles with relief and he tells her 「やっぱリリスはそういう顔してた方がいいよな」(As I thought, that expression is best on you). She blinks in confusion but he continues on to point out that aside from feeling impatient, they should take the chance to rest since since if they’re not fully rested for their fight with Rognar then it’d be a problem. She asks if that’s true and he nods before pointing out that a great battle might be awaiting them.

And so it’s best if they sleep well and eat well. Lilith finally agrees with him and then confesses that thinking about this makes her feel burdened, but thanks to him she can relax now. He’s glad for that because they’re going to stop Rognar no matter what. He’s also glad that she’s finally become more energetic, because it isn’t her to be depressed. Lilith’s eyes widen as she asks him if he was fooling around all this time just for that. Soo gives her an offended look and asks her when he was fooling around. From the start he had been serious.

She smiles and comments on how he never changes. He’s confused at this change in subject, but she continues on to admit that at the beginning it looked like he never thought about anything. But that’s his strength and she’s finally realized that. She wishes she could have noticed it earlier. Lilith knows that she thinks too much. Soo interrupts here and asks if she’s accusing him of thinking too little. But she shakes her head and tells him that he might be different from her but that’s his strength. She’s finally realized it.

He grins foolishly and says 「じゃあやっとオレのよさをわかってくれたんだ!?よかった~~~!」(Then you finally understand my good quality!? Yay~~~!). She frowns and snaps at him not to fool around. He pauses with wide eyes, but then she smiles and tells him that she’s always saved by that part of him. She’s sure that she’ll continue to be saved by him from here on as well. When there’s something a person can’t do alone, they can stand with the help of another. She wants to help everyone else like that. He agrees and thinks that this is why she shouldn’t worry so much.

They return to the ship to find out that Nico has finished modifying it and so then they head off to Melrond. When they enter the thunderstorms Lilith tells everyone to pray to their gods. The ship is rocked by the thunder and she screams in fright only for Soo to catch her and ask her worriedly if she’s alright. She tells him that she was just surprised so he grins and reminds her that he’s protecting her so she doesn’t need to worry. Lilith smiles and thanks him. Then a Bahamut appears to attack their ship.

Camus asks Nico if they have any weapons, but they don’t. Nico asks if they can turn around but Nico answers that either option is dangerous for them. Nayuta realizes that they can easily get lost in this thunderstorm, while Kirite notes that if they turn around they’re going to be chased by the Bahamut and attacked while they retreat. Soo just grins and realizes that there’s only one option left then and so he asks Nico-chan to open the door. Nico asks him if he’s absurd because they’re in the middle of the sky, but Soo points out that everyone will die if they don’t do something.

Lilith tells Soo that she understands and she believes in him. He just replies with a grin 「そんなマジな顔すんなよ。こっちまで緊張しちまうだろ?ほら、笑って見送ってくれよ」(Don’t make such a serious face. You’re going to make me nervous here. Come on, see me off with a smile). Lilith tells him that she’s not going to send him off, because after he defeats the Bahamut he’s going to return. Soo just grins and replies that she’s right and he’ll return home swiftly. And so he climbs on to the top of the airship and punches the Bahamut with his fists of fire.

The Bahamut isn’t so easily defeated though and it retaliates with a swipe that hits Soo and forces him to the ground. Lilith yells out his name and even though the wind carries her words away, he looks up at her and grins before mouthing that he’s fine and she shouldn’t worry. Although their voices aren’t able to reach one another she can hear him in her heart. The Bahamut retaliates and Soo manages to dodge and hit it, which just makes the Bahamut furious. Soo calls out for Lilith to use her powers right now and she nods before gripping her i-scepter.

It enhances Soo’s flaming fist and he punches the Bahamut.. into two pieces. LMAO WHAT THE HELL..!? HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE. He comes back in and winces from his injuries, which makes Lilith ask him worriedly if he’s injured anywhere else. He tells her that he’s a bit scraped up and so he asks if she can nurse him, starting from his chest and then to his abdomen. Lilith splutters and calls him an idiot. He just grins and asks if she wasn’t going to heal him.

Anyway, the ship took too much damage and so Nico is going to ram it through the barrier. Lilith asks if there isn’t any other way but there isn’t. Before they hit it, Soo tells her not to worry because he’s with her. Then he embraces her strongly and she calms down after feeling the warmth of his body.

*** EPISODE 「愛のすべて」(All of love) ***

While she’s dreaming about Melrond, Lilith can hear Soo’s worried voice 「・・・リリス・・・リリス!おい、リリス!目を覚ましてくれよ!死んじまったのか!?」(.. Lilith.. Lilith! Oi, Lilith! Please open your eyes! Are you dead!?). Then he wonders 「心臓・・・動いてっかな・・・脈・・・脈・・・あれ?脈ってどうやって取るんだっけ!?」(Her pulse.. is moving right?.. The pulse.. pulse.. Eh? Where do you take someone’s pulse?!). OH GOD YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW BASIC FIRST AID? ಠ_ಠ.  He finally says 「あーもうっ!こうなったら人工呼吸しかねーか・・・ん~~~~~!」(Ahh, that’s it! In a situation like this I should use CPR right!? Nnn~~~!).

Upon hearing this weird noises, Lilith’s eyes snap open and then she yelps at seeing his face so close to hers. When she asks him what he was doing, he ignores the question to say in relief that he’s glad she’s finally woken up. When he thought that she was dead he was extremely frightened, but now that she’s alive he’s extremely relieved. Lilith tells him that she’s alive and so that’s why he can move away now because his face is too close. Soo just laughs and tells her not to worry about such trivial things.

But he’s glad to see that she’s as energetic and healthy as ever. Lilith says with a bright smile that she’s completely fine and he just laughs in relief at how the saint who will save the world with love is invincible. He averts his eyes though and admits that he really is glad she’s fine. If she had been injured he.. Lilith asks him where the rest of the party is after Soo trails off. He informs her that everyone fell from the airship and became separated and then he winces in pain again.

When she asks him if he’s alright, he waves off her concerns and tells her that he just hit his shoulder while falling out of the airplane. Lilith asks him if it was because he was protecting her, but he tells her with a grin that he was just clumsy and so she doesn’t need to worry. It’s just a bruise and it’ll soon heal, but Lilith remembers that he was embracing her and protecting her. Soo tries to tell her that he’s sturdy, but Lilith thanks him and tells him that it’s because of him that she was uninjured.

He blushes and tells her that it’s fine and if she thanks him like that then he’ll feel embarrassed. He reminds her that he said he would always protect her. She thanks him again despite his protests and then asks to look at his shoulder. He tries to tell her that it isn’t serious, but she tells him sternly to stay still because she’s going to heal it. Soo is surprised by her insistence and then he’s amazed at how he doesn’t feel any pain after she healed it. Lilith tells him that she isn’t as skilled as Nayuta, so he should still be careful with it.

Soo thinks that this is more than enough and then he thanks her gratefully. Lilith comments on how it’s because of her that he was injured, but Soo tells her that it wasn’t her fault. It was Nico for using such a fragile airship and it would have been better if it was sturdier. He tells her that they should find him and complain to him. プッ(※థэథ)∵.*.∵ I SWEAR NICO AND SOO ARE THE EXTREME COMEDY DUO. Because he doesn’t know where the others are he takes her to the city of Melrond and Lilith is shocked to see that these ruins used to be a city.

They both agree on how terrible and cruel it is. Soo thinks it’s even worse than Savila and he’d like to know why Melrond is known as a cursed land and how it got destroyed. Lilith asks him if he’s feeling alright when he looks at this and Soo tells her that he isn’t fine, but complaining or moping around at the destruction in Melrond won’t change anything. They have to look at the reality around them that way they can create new and better things. Lilith thinks that he’s right and that nothing will start if they run away from sad things like this.

Soo comments on how strong she is for facing forward and accepting this so easily, but Lilith demurs and tells him that he was the one who made her notice and so he’s the strong one. She also tells him that he’s kind, which surprises him, but she explains that he looks like he wants to help this place. Then she tells him about the dream she had while unconscious, about Melrond and how the god didn’t abandon its people but is now healing the lands quietly. She compares Melrond’s kindness to that of Soo’s.

But Soo apologizes since he doesn’t understand what she’s saying at all. Lilith just smiles and shortens her words by simply saying that Soo is an amazing person. This he understands and he just grins and tells her that he’s glad then. He wonders where everyone went and Lilith comments on how no matter where they look the whole town is destroyed. Soo tells her that he’ll do something about it though and when she looks surprised he reminds her they’ve decided to do something for the world. No matter who their opponent is they’ll do what they like.

He points out that even though she can hear the gods’ voices and said that the gods haven’t abandoned humans, they still shouldn’t leave everything to the gods. Then he tells her cheerfully not to worry, because he’ll do something with these arms of his and he’ll support her. Then he adds 「だから一緒にがんばろうぜ?」(That’s why, let’s work hard together). She nods and then he energetically tells her that they should resume the search for everyone else, but then he sees a flare. Lilith wonders if it’s the rest of the party.

Before they go to the flare site though Soo mutters under his breath 「・・・ちぇ、なんだよ。もう少しリリスとふたりっきりでもよかったのに」(.. Che, what is this. It would have been nice if I could have been alone with Lilith for a while longer). Lilith looks back and asks him if he said anything, but he hurriedly tells her that it was nothing. Anyway, they regroup with the party and then Rognar’s hologram appears in front of them and he gives a monologue about his reasons for destroying humans. Soo just yells at him to shut up because Rognar’s and idiot and he’ll beat him up.

They hurry to Melrond’s control room to confront Rognar. Soo smirks and remarks on how they finally meet and that he’s been waiting. Rognar’s response is just 「何だ貴様は」(Who are you?). Soo tells him it doesn’t matter, but he’s going to be Rognar’s opponent. Rognar asks why Soo wants to fight him, which makes Soo explain that he’s doing idiotic things and so it’d be a problem if they left Rognar alone. Rognar sneers and points out that if they leave things the way they are then the love lost will advance and that is something to be feared.

Soo continues to grin and tells him that they’ll just do something about it. They’ll stop Rognar and then they’ll stop the love lost. Rognar informs them that it’s useless. Up until now, no matter what he has done, he couldn’t stop the love lost and so there is no other action but to strike the fear of god into humans. He will continue to kill countless humans and destroy countless countries until humans remember to love their gods. Soo just smirks and calls for Rognar to come at him. Rognar thinks their fight will be interesting and then he hurls a wave of darkness at Soo.

Which is countered by Soo’s flaming fists. Rognar is shocked to see Dinus’ power come from him and Soo just grins and asks why Rognar is surprised because he said he’d stop him. Then he adds 「大体、てめーごときがオレに勝てるわけねーんだよ。意味のわかんねーことばっか言ってさ」(Basically, there’s no way a bastard like you can win against me. You keep saying things I don’t understand!). Rognar is taken aback as he splutters 「意味が・・・わからない・・・?」(You don’t.. understand my reason..?). AHH TO LIVE LIKE SOO, SUCH BLISSFUL IGNORANCE Σ(^∀^;).

Soo cheerfully replies that he doesn’t really care about this “salvation” or “rebirth”. Lilith can only say his name exasperatedly while Nayuta can’t believe Soo is fighting without understanding the reason. Camus just grins and tells them that it’s exactly like Soo to respond like that. Kirite replies lightly that Camus said it right. Meanwhile, Soo pouts and asks them what they’re whispering about over there. Nayuta and Camus tell him it’s nothing, while Lilith informs him that she believes in him.

This makes Soo happy and he tells her that after hearing that he’ll do his best. Rognar is consumed by rage at how Soo is just fooling around, although Soo informs him that he’s not playing around. He’s serious about defeating Rognar especially when Rognar runs his mouth off and talks about things he doesn’t understand. Anyway, Rognar gets serious and launches another wave of darkness at Soo, but Soo’s body is enveloped in flames and they protect him from the darkness. Rognar is shocked at how ineffective his power is and then Soo yells out that he already said Rognar can’t defeat him.

In one blow Rognar is defeated and as he painfully asks Soo how he has so much power, Soo just reminds him that he already said he’d defeat him and because he had Lilith with him. When she said she believed in him, Soo tells Rognar that he had no choice but to do it. Rognar can’t believe he was defeated by this kind of a person. Soo just cheekily tells Rognar that he was defeated by human love. Rognar disappears and then Lilith gives an announcement to the rest of the world. But then she collapses after being cursed by a voice.

Lilith is taken into the darkness by Melrond who gently tells her to sleep and heal. But then she hears Soo’s voice tell her that it’s fine for her to sleep when it’s time to sleep. There are times when one just can’t do something. He tells her not to think and to just sleep and not to push herself, because if she can’t do something then she can’t. Lilith recognizes Soo’s voice and she thinks about how he’s always fooling around. Soo’s voice then comments quietly on how that isn’t like Lilith though, to sit back and relax. She always pushes herself onwards.

He confesses that he’s jealous of how she can face herself and move forward and he thinks about how nice it’d be if he could become like that too. She realizes that Soo is waiting for her. Soo’s voice calls out to her again and tells her to return because she’s different from him and there are still things that she needs to do. Lilith realizes that Soo’s bright and cheerful smile encourages her. He reminds her that he’ll always lend her his strength whenever she wishes. He summons his flames and tells her to look at it.

This strength of his is to support Lilith and so if she’s not here then he won’t be able to use it. Lilith agrees with him and realizes that she can’t give up now. With him by her side she’ll continue to try her best and endure. She asks Soo to lend her some of his strength, but he just smiles and tells her to hurry up and come back. Just as she’s about to confess to him he disappears and when she yells out for him to wait because she hasn’t finished saying it, Melrond sends her back into the light with a blessing.

She wakes up to find Soo hovering over her and he yells out to the rest of the party that she woke up. The party finds out that Lilith was cursed by the love lost and Melrond saved her, but she looks at Soo when she remembers that their bond saved her too. He blinks in surprise when he notices her looking at him and asks if there’s something on his face. She hurriedly shakes her head and tells him it’s nothing. Melrond brings down the barrier at Lilith’s request and then they fly back to Madam to find out about the state of the world. Unfortunately stopping Rognar did nothing to stop the love lost.

They remain in Dinus to report back to Banstine. He asks them what they want since he doubts they’re here to see his face. Soo tries to surprise his father with their victory over Rognar, but Banstine already knew it from listening to Lilith’s announcement. Then he says to Lilith that it’ll make him irritated to thank his idiotic son and so he’ll express his gratitude to her for stopping the destruction of Dinus. Lilith looks troubled as she admits that even though they don’t have to worry about Rognar anymore, there is still the love lost.

She tells him that her voice wasn’t able to reach people’s hearts. This confuses Banstine who informs her that he heard her voice and then he asks if the announcement she made was selective. She shakes her head and explains that she wanted everyone to feel at ease and happier now that Rognar is gone, but because of the love lost her words weren’t able to reach them. The love lost is something eve more dangerous and fearful than Rognar and when she walked the streets of Dinus she realized that she hadn’t saved the world yet and she didn’t change anything.

Banstine calls Lilith by her name and informs her that he understands how she can feel depressed, but he reminds her that she’s the saint and if she becomes weak like that then he will too. He asks her if she was lying when she said she was going to save the world. Lilith determinedly tells him that it wasn’t a lie and those words came from her heart, but she can’t stop herself from worrying. Banstine sternly asks if that’s her answer and then tells her that his words may sound severe but if he were her then he would act before he could feel scared.

If she thinks that she doesn’t have enough power then she needs to concentrate more. He orders her to throw away her worries and doubts. And then he tells her that the next time they meet he would like to see her growth. After saying these things he walks off and Lilith looks down with a troubled face. Soo gently asks her if she’s alright. She thanks him with a smile and tells him that she’s fine, but then she admits that she was lying and she’s still a bit depressed. Soo clenches his fist and complains about how his father was too severe and he doesn’t understand why Banstine made Lilith feel even more depressed.

Lilith shakes her head though and informs Soo that Banstine was correct. They can’t stop now and they must continue to walk forward. She also adds that even though his words were severe, he used her name and that makes her feel happy. To her it feels like Banstine is acknowledging her not just as the saint, but as a person. Soo pouts and complains again about how his father took all the good parts, because he wanted to be the one to comfort her. She just giggles and tells him that he already does that by being his cheerful self. DON’T YOU MEAN IDIOTIC?

Soo blushes at that but then returns back to the subject of him being a little annoyed at his dad. He decides with a grin 「よし。今度リリスがへこむようなことがあったら、オレが背中を押してやるよ」(Alrighty, the next time you’re feeling down then, I’ll give you a push to your back). He tells her that he’ll do it even if there’s a cliff or a mountain of needles in front of her. (゚ー゚;*)ハァ? Lilith exclaims that those are situations when he’s not supposed to push her. Soo just grins and tells her that he’ll do something about it, that’s why next time it should be him. He musses up her hair.

The next place they go to is to see Heathcliff who still remains neutral. Lilith tells him that it’d be strange for them not to resist. When Heathcliff presents the problem about how they don’t know if they’re right or wrong, Soo asks why they should even care about that. It’s too late to turn back after they’ve came this far and he’s going to protect Lilith with all his power. And so there’s only one thing for them to do then and that is to save the world! They go to Dodona next and Lilith offers her prayers up to Yufisu and asks for guidance.

Soo finds her and he asks if she’s alright. When she tries to tell him that she’s fine, he tells her not to lie to him. Lilith is surprised but Soo just grins and tells her that he knows at least that much about her, since they’ve been traveling together for so long. He tells her to just blurt it out and so Lilith confesses that she wishes she had more power as the saint, because she can’t do anything even though the world is wounded by the love lost. Soo hums thoughtfully and tells her that he thinks she has amazing powers, he’ll guarantee that.

No matter how troubled she is or how depressed she is, she still tries to do something. That makes her special, because normal people wouldn’t be able to do anything in a situation like this. Soo even admits that he couldn’t have come this far if he didn’t meet Lilith. But she tells him that it’s thanks to him, which surprises him, but she explains that he’s always by her side and cheering her up. Soo blushes and admits with a sheepish grin that he likes her honesty. She blushes at that, especially when continues on to say that she has a lot of good parts. So he’d like her to remain like that.

Even when she’s weak or when she’s strong, he likes her best when she’s honest. Lilith continues to stay red as she says his name, and he finally realizes what he said because he starts blushing too. But then Lilith thanks him with a bright smile, because once again it’s thanks to him that she’s able to relax. The party heads to Ingrid next and they’re shocked at the effect of the love lost. Lilith urges the party onwards though. They ignore Remuna and head down into the shrine where Lilith reveals Horo and he explains that he’s behind everything. He wishes to destroy the world and create a new one for his forgotten mother.

Horo disappears and when the party runs out into Ingrid they find the city under attack. Nayuta snaps Remuna out of her depression and she finally starts to believe that Lilith is the saint who will save them. Once again, after Lilith gets Nico to give everyone his magical items, the party splits up to help defend the other countries. Lilith and Soo return to Dinus and they immediately head to Madam to find out the situation. Soo is glad to see Madam healthy and safe and he asks how the monster situation is.

Madam rolls her eyes at Soo’s carefree attitude and reminds him that this situation isn’t the time for it. If it were just monsters and fighting then Banstine wouldn’t lose, but the love lost is taking its toll on everyone. Then she tells them that it would probably be better if they went to Banstine himself to learn the situation and so they do. Banstine immediately greets them by mentioning that he heard Ingrid was attacked by monsters. Lilith nods hesitantly while Soo confirms it in a relaxed tone.

Banstine comments on how he’s always called his idiotic son an idiotic son, but he’s grown up during his travels around the world. Soo shrugs and then replies that hearing those words from his father feels kind of gross. Banstine snorts and then asks Soo if he’ll use his powers to defend Dinus. When Soo stares at him in surprise, Banstine explains that he wants to see Soo’s true strength. Soo still doesn’t understand though and asks for an explanation. ( ´・_・`). And so Banstine finally explains that another wave of monsters will come and he wants Soo to help.

Soo blinks in surprise and asks if his father is saying they should fight together. Then he frowns and tells his father not to decide it for him, since he’s Lilith’s Vakista. Banstine isn’t fazed and he simply asks if it’ll be fine then when he formally asks the saint. And so he turns to Lilith and asks if she’ll lend her Vakista of Dinus’ power to him, the king of Dinus. Of course she does and so Banstine tells Soo cheerfully that he’ll look forward to fighting by his side. Soo tells his father in a tired voice to stop that, because it’s creepy.

When they exit the throne room, Lilith comments on how Banstine looked excited. Soo asks if that’s true and Lilith nods and tells him that Banstine looked happy when they finally agreed to fight together. Soo admits admits that this is the first time he’s seen his father like that. Lilith points out that she thinks Banstine is happy, which makes Soo ask why, and so she explains that he’s happy to see how much his only son has grown. Soo quietly confesses that before he met her he had never fought for anyone else and so this is a first for him. It’s also the first time his father needed him.

He tells her that this is the first time he’s heard those words from his father. Up until now he’s never asked Soo to lend his powers to Dinus, not even when he was the champion of the battle tournaments. He lived with his mother in the city while Banstine stayed in the palace and so now he feels strange. He’s not too sure what he should do now that his father is inviting him to fight together. Just as she calls out his name he interrupts and asks her if she can give him some time alone. He blushes and tells her that he wants to think about things.

Soo tells Lilith that he’ll return quickly and so she should stay here, since it won’t be dangerous here while she’s alone. Lilith has the feeling that he’s going to see his father, because he has some things he needs to say to him. And so she agrees to wait and he thanks her before running off with a promise that he’ll return soon. Lilith watches him leave with a smile and then feels a strange ticklish feeling inside of her when she thinks about how confused he looked. While she’s waiting though the monsters attack. She hears soldiers talking about how the monsters are invading the palace.

Lilith immediately runs off to find Soo to warn him, though she’s sure he heard the loud explosion of the monsters attacking the palace. She quickly gets lost in the hallways though which only fuels her desperation to find Soo quickly since it’ll be a problem if she’s caught alone by a monster. Soon she hears a familiar voice cheerfully yelling out for the next one to come, because he’ll break them. When she turns around the corner, she finds Soo fighting with Banstine. She isn’t surprised to see Soo fighting, but she’s surprised to see the king himself fight. The two of them are bickering playfully while they beat the monsters up.

Banstine asks if Soo was fighting in Ingrid with that kind of pitiful power. Soo just laughs and reminds him that Banstine knows he’s strong and he took care of them. Then he warns his father not to push himself or he’ll collapse, but Banstine just snorts and tells Soo that he should use the time he’s talking to take down the monsters. Soo yells out that his father doesn’t need to tell him that and he’s already taking them down. He throws his opponent down and then yells out that he’s gotten 5. Banstine punches another and says he’s at 6.

Lilith can’t help but laugh quietly in this situation because they’re having so much fun. She ran all the way here in worry, but it’s obvious they’re handling things just fine. Soo yells out that he won’t lose to his father and now he’s at 8. Banstine just grits his teeth. Lilith wonders if Soo realizes that he’s defending his father and that his father is doing the same. They soon defeat all the monsters around them and Banstine comments on what a shame it is. Then he informs Soo that he’s going to return to leading his men.

When Soo asks if he should go with him, Banstine orders Soo to head to his own battle with Lilith. Soo grins and tells him that he doesn’t need to say that. Then Banstine asks Soo seriously if he’s still feeling lost, but Soo doesn’t understand what he means. Banstine smirks at Soo’s confused answer and replies that this response means he’s fine then. Soo irritatedly tells his father not to talk about things only he understands, but his father just orders them to go. Soo points out that Banstine’s soldiers are waiting for him as well.

After Banstine leaves, Lilith expresses her amazement at Soo’s fight and she also tells him that she’s glad he and his father finally understand each other. Soo blushes at that and tells her that she’s making him embarrassed saying it like that. Lilith giggles, but then Soo becomes serious and decides that they need to find the Sacred Nebulim that is most likely leading the monsters. They find him on top of the palace and Soo is disappointed at his small and weak his opponent looks, but the Sacred Nebulim just sneers at him and asks if Soo can really say that as his opponent.

Soo simply shrugs and and tells the Sacred Nebulim that it might actually be a shame for the Sacred Nebulim that he’s Soo’s opponent, implying that he’ll lose. The Sacred Nebulim tells them that it’s impossible. The two start to fight, but Soo erases the Sacred Nebulim’s wave of darkness with his fist of flames. Then Soo yells out that he’s relying on Lilith and she nods determinedly before blessing him with the i-scepter. Soo grins and reminds the Sacred Nebulim that they won’t know who’ll win if they don’t try, but he has the saint with him. Soo abruptly pauses as he remembers that he didn’t actually say that.

The Sacred Nebulim disappears in a white light after he receiving a blow from Soo and then Soo pouts at how he didn’t put up a fight at all. He gives a victory sign to Lilith and she notes how he looks completely at ease. When they return to the throne room, Banstine is eagerly recounting his fight with his soldiers and how next time the monsters attack, Dinus will be just as ready and eager to fight back as they were today. He’s in such a good mood that he tells Soo that Dinus gives its thanks to him because it’s all thanks to him. Soo blushes at that. Lilith is amused at Soo’s embarrassment.

Then they explore around Dinus to try and find the gates to the underworld and end up returning to Banstine, who asks them why they’re here because Dinus doesn’t need their help anymore. Soo informs his father that he’s just to here to announce that he still has something he needs to do. It’s a small business though and then he runs out with Lilith before Banstine can say anything. Soo asks Lilith if she’ll come with him to do one last thing before they leave. It’s not anything important and so he’ll be finished quickly. He ends up taking her back to his teacher’s grave because he has something he wants to say to him.

There he recalls that his teacher died after saying that nothing can be done with a clenched fist. However, Soo always lived thinking about those words because his teacher was his everything. But now, before he noticed it, he doesn’t think about it anymore after he met Lilith. Lilith looks troubled at that, but he tells her cheerfully not to make that kind of face because he’s feeling really good right now. Just as Lilith says his name, Soo addresses his teacher with a blush and tells him to look because he’s found someone else to believe in.

And so he brought her here today. He asks his teacher if she isn’t amazing and then tells his teacher that it’s a shame, but Soo thinks he was wrong. He’s going to find something his fists can do. He’s decided to catch up to the place his teacher stopped at and to surpass that. Lilith smiles at Soo and he informs her that he also wanted her to hear this which is why he brought her here. He confesses that he was trapped in his teacher’s teachings and the one who brought him out of that was her.

But there’s also another thing that he has to do and that’s surpassing his father, the king of Dinus. He’ll definitely do it and so for that sake he’s going to save the world with Lilith, that way he can face his father. He’s decided that after he saves the world with Lilith, he’ll settle things with his dad. They teleport back to the Forested Marjune and Soo yells out loudly that this place feels good and that as he thought this place is really relaxing. Lilith giggles at how high his excitement is, but he looks at her in confusion because he’s actually relaxing.

Lilith stares at him apprehensively and asks if he’s actually relaxing like that, because when a person is relaxing they should be calmer. Soo chuckles and informs her that when he’s relaxing he relaxes with all his power. Lilith repeats his words and he yells out loudly that she’s right and when relaxing one should relax with ALL THEIR POWER. (゚、 。) DO I NEED TO EVEN POINT OUT ANY MORE OF SOO’S RIDICULOUS ANTICS? She ends up agreeing with him and he comments cheerfully on how she finally understands.

She admits that it’s been a while since she’s relaxed without feeling like she was forgetting something. Soo points out that if she relaxes and looks around for a bit she might come up with another way to save the world. He adds 「だからのんびり遊んでこうぜ!・・・とか、昔なら言ってそうだよな」(That’s why we should play without a care!.. Like how we used to). Lilith just smiles and says 「言ってそう、言ってそう!」(So you say, so you say!). Soo mock gasps and asks her if she’s being cruel rejecting him like that. Lilith counters by asking him why he says that and points out that the old Soo would have wanted to play around, but not the current him.

He asks her with a cheeky grin if she’s starting to have faith in him and she bluntly tells him that she is. He’s taken aback but then he becomes serious as he tells her that he’ll say it properly then. He tells her 「約束するぜ。最後までおまえのために戦うって。オレにはこれしかできないからさ」(I’ll make a promise. I’ll fight with you until the very end. I can’t do anything else but that). He adds 「この拳に賭けて誓う。オレは絶対にリリスを守るから」(I’ll swear a bet on this fist. I will definitely protect you). Lilith says his name softly and then thanks him before agreeing to make this promise with him. Then they regroup with the party and Nayuta shows off his priest clothes.

Unfortunately none of them managed to find out where Horo is but then Lilith hears a voice. Luverchi and Clear inform her of where Horo is and then they request that she stop him. When she regains her awareness, Soo asks her if she’s alright and she nods shakily. She informs the party that Horo is in the Sea of Oblivion and they return to the ship. Soo privately tells Lilith that everything is almost over. After they defeat Horo and save the world they’ll be done fighting with the gods and everything will end.

She nods and thanks him for his hard work, but he just blushes and tells her that it wasn’t just him. Everyone in the world is standing up for them. Lilith agrees since it’s their wishes and hopes that have brought them this far. Soo reminds her that defeating Horo is their responsibility though.

*** EPISODE 「ビヨンド・ザ・フューチャー」(Beyond the Future) ***

Before the final fight, Soo and Lilith share a private moment in Dodona. She comments on how a lot of things have happened and Soo distractedly hums in agreement. She asks him in surprise if he’s not uneasy, which makes him ask her why should he be. She points out that they’re at the final battle which will decide everything and they’re up against one of the three gods. Soo shrugs and tells her that no matter how strong their opponent is, it doesn’t change the fact that they need to defeat him.

So it’s useless to get depressed and to wonder what will happen. Lilith reluctantly agrees but Soo just cheerfully tells her not to be so worried because he’ll do something. Then he asks her why she thinks he’s here. Lilith just smiles and comments on how he’s as reassuring as always. Soo frowns and tells her exasperatedly 「ったく、何言ってんだよ。オレが何のためにここまで一緒に来たと思ってんの?リリスを守るためでしょーが!」(Geez, what are you saying. Why do you think I’m here with you? It’s to protect you!). She calls out his name in surprise.

But he just tells her 「この腕はリリスと世界を守るためにあるんだ」(These arms exist to protect you and the world). He adds that he’s definitely going to protect her and he won’t let her get even one injury. Lilith smiles at him but then he comments lightly that he didn’t think he would be the hero who is going to save the world. When she looks at him questioningly he confesses that after meeting her he finally found a reason to live for himself. Then he admits 「つまり、何が言いたいかっていうと。・・・リリス、おまえがオレの生きる意味なんだ」(In other words, what I’m trying to say is.. Lilith, you’re my reason for living).

He adds 「だから、おまえは絶対にオレが守ってやる」(That’s why, I will definitely protect you). Lilith tells him that they will definitely live and return together. He agrees softly and reminds her that it’s for that reason he came here. Then he loudly tells her that they’re going to win in a showy way. The party finally leaves to the Sea of Oblivion and Nayuta remains behind to look after the ship. Everyone is worried for him, but he informs them that they’ve faced countless dangerous situations up until now. This is just another trial for him and his god.

Soo huffs and comments on how Nayuta took all the good parts, because he wanted to look cool and be the knight but it looks like even though Nayuta isn’t a knight anymore he doesn’t change at all. Nayuta calls Soo an idiot and asks if this is the time to be saying that kind of thing. Then he orders everyone to hurry up and go, because he’ll stop the monster and protect the airship until they return. Before they leap off the airship, Soo grips her hand tightly and asks if she’s ready. Lilith nods and then they all leap off.

Back with Nayuta he informs the monster that he won’t let it move one inch from this place and that it has no chance against him. Then he whispers to himself about how he wanted to watch over Lilith until the end. He wonders out loud why he chose this path, and it wasn’t because of Soo’s words, but maybe he’s been a knight for too long. The monster roars and Nayuta smirks before telling the monster that he understands and he’ll be its opponent. Then he comments on how this will be a battle of endurance.

Meanwhile the rest of the party continues onwards. Nate remains behind to deal with the worms and Soo mutters under his breath about how it seems like it’ll dwindle to two. When Lilith asks him if he said anything, he looks surprised and hurriedly tells her it’s nothing and that he’s looking forward to what’s going to pop up next. Lilith screams when she hears the Fenrirs and Soo instantly asks her if she’s alright, to which she nods shakily and tells him that she was just surprised. The Fenrirs try to attack her, but Nico intercepts them and volunteers to remain behind to deal with these.

Before they leave, Nico warns Soo that if he lets the saint get hurt then he won’t just be angry. Soo grin cheekily and tells Nico that that’s a given, because he wouldn’t forgive himself if that happened. Then he complains again about how he wanted to remain behind, but Nico stole the good part. Nico replies lightly that he wouldn’t mind switching positions, but unfortunately he has an interest in these magical creatures. Camus remains behind to hold the door open and he tells Soo that he’s counting on him to protect Lilith.

Soo answers with a grin that he cant counted on to definitely protect Lilith and so Camus needs to endure this. And finally they reach the door to Horo and meet the last guardian, a Sacred Nebulim. He sneers at the party and informs them that he’s the strongest and he can’t be defeated by the two of them. Soo just snorts and asks him if he’d like to test that, because they won’t lose. They’ll definitely defeat him and head to Horo. Kirite orders them to go ahead and to leave this to him though. They find Horo in his chamber and he immediately greets them before expressing his surprise in seeing Soo beside her.

He expected a person like Soo to be the first to fall and when Soo asks what he means, Horo describes Soo as a person who isn’t serious at all and uses his power just to seek pleasure in life. Then the moment he’s bored he seeks to end it. Soo doesn’t deny this, which makes Lilith call out his name in exasperation. Horo continues on to explain that Soo should understand that he has no chance of winning and so he should just choose death. Horo tells Soo to stop playing around because he should be able to see the future and conclusion of their battle.

Lilith knows Horo’s words are poison and so she squeezes Soo’s hands. This makes him regain his determination and he tells Horo that he’s trying too hard to sell his point of view to him when he isn’t good at thinking. He also can’t see the future. Soo admits that he gives up easily when facing troublesome things and that’s one of his faults. But he’s broken through who he used to be and he’s no longer lost. Soo has decided to fight and endure for himself, not for the world or for humanity, but for himself.

He’s going to use these hands of his to create a future where he can flirt and make out with the one he likes. With his clenched fist he’s going to defeat Horo and grasp the future. The fight starts and the ground starts shaking, but Soo reassures Lilith not to worry because they’re going to defeat that bastard together so that they can return to everyone quickly. Whenever Horo launches a wave of darkness at Soo, Soo is able to dodge it and return the blow. Soon Horo starts to lose and so he tries to summon his monsters.

No one answers his calls though which shocks Horo, but Soo bursts out laughing at how Horo failed. He then explains to Lilith that they’re not alone and they’re fighting with their party and the world behind them. Horo snarls at them and decides to try and kill them himself then, but Soo repels his darkness and yells out that he’s no longer afraid of Horo. He isn’t afraid of him because he isn’t alone and compared to the alternative of losing everything, that makes him unafraid of everything. Horo decides to destroy the underworld to bring them down with him then.

Lilith is horrified at the huge whirlpool of darkness but Soo tells her not to worry because he’ll do something about it. He asks for her help and so she blesses him with her i-scepter. This makes Soo say 「・・・あったけーな。オレの拳に、おまえの気持ちが伝わってくるよ。すっげー、あったかい」(.. So warm. Your feelings are wrapping around my fists. It’s really.. warm). Lilith shouts out that they won’t despair, when Horo tries to kill them again, and Soo agrees loudly that their love won’t allow Horo to intrude on them. Soo starts to glow with a red light and he punches through the origin of the love lost and hits Horo.

Horo is wounded severely and before he disappears he asks how he could have lost. Soo explains that he said from the start that there’s no way he would lose and then he adds that protecting Lilith is his job and he isn’t going to hand that to anyone else, and so he worked hard. Then Soo points out that Horo only worked hard for himself and he didn’t think about others. The reason Horo lost was because he was fighting for himself only. Horo is in disbelief because he doesn’t believe in the power of another’s love. Therefore Soo decides to show him it.

Lilith blesses Soo again for the last blow and she confesses to Soo that she can feel his feelings and they’re warm. Soo blushes and comments on how the way his feelings are flowing to her makes him a bit embarrassed. Lilith has to agree with that, but it makes her happy to know his feelings. She asks if he can feel hers and he tells her that of course he can. Horo disappears with a painful scream and in the place where he stood a fire appears and starts to burn. It burns away the last remnants of the love lost.

Afterwards, Lilith sighs in relief at how they finally made it to the end and accomplished her journey. Soo’s stomach growls at that point and Lilith stares at him in exasperation at how he couldn’t remain cool until the very end. However, she realizes that Soo is still Soo, especially with his embarrassed face, and in the end she loves him because of that. She blushes as she realizes that she wants to live with him. Soo apologizes and explains that for some reason he’s hungry now. Lilith giggles and reassures him that she likes how he remains true to himself like that.

Just before they head out Soo mutters with a blush that with this he finally managed to grab onto something. When Lilith looks at him in confusion he tells her it’s nothing and then asks for her hand. She asks him what it’s for, but he just grabs her hand and then comments in surprise at how tiny it is. Then he sets out toward the exit, but Lilith tells him to slow down and not to drag her around like that. Soo apologizes since he’s not used to holding a woman’s hand and then he tells her that they should hurry up and find the others before they get angry.

Kirite informs them that they’re late and Soo apologizes and asks him to forgive them since they defeated Horo. Kirite just smirks and compliments Soo on being able to do it. Soo thanks him for his help. They pick up Camus next who is glad that everyone is safe, because he’s exhausted. Soo apologizes and then tries to head to the next person, but Camus asks in shock what the two of them are doing since they’re holding hands. Soo just tells him with a cheeky grin that the world is in peace and so he shouldn’t sweat the small stuff. Camus just smiles in exasperation.

Nico is the next person they pick up and he also comments on how slow they were and how they made him wait. His eyebrows raise in surprise though as he looks at Soo’s and Lilith’s hands and he asks if the cause of the love lost’s defeat was that. Soo blinks in confusion but Nico doesn’t explain and instead tells them that he honestly blesses them. Lilith is also confused, but Nico just informs her that being happy is a good thing. He asks if Soo doesn’t think the same, but Soo doesn’t understand at all and just hurries everyone along to find Nate. Nate is glad that everyone is unharmed.

Then he pauses and glares as he says 「・・・って。なんだその手は。オレが足止めしている間に、ソー、あんた・・・」(.. wait, what’s with those hands. While I was trapped here, Soo.. you..). Soo just grins and apologizes before pointing out that they managed to defeat Horo though. Nate ends up sighing and agreeing that it’s a good thing. He also comments on how happy Lilith looks. The minute Nayuta sees them he exclaims his relief at seeing them unharmed, since they were taking so long to come back that he thought something happened to them.

Kirite asks if Nayuta is alright, which he is. Then Nayuta notices Soo and Lilith holding hands and he asks them why they’re doing that. Camus teasingly pouts and informs Nayuta that Soo and Lilith have been holding hands all the way back and so Nayuta should say something. Soo tells them all that it’s a reward since he and Lilith worked so hard. Lilith agrees with a blush and then admits that she wants to remain like this a while longer and so she’d like everyone to overlook it. Nayuta sighs but then mentions that it can’t be helped.

The party returns to Dinus so that they can bring back the good news. Time passes and Lilith ends up back in Dinus talking to Madam. She goes to the palace to meet with Kadash, Remuna, and Banstine who inform her that the world is slowly making a full recovery from the love lost. They thank her for all that she’s done and so Lilith returns to Madam to report on the rest of the party. Kirite is in Savila helping to restore it since he’s their new king, Nayuta is a priest in Ingrid guiding the pilgrims. Nate and Nico are traveling around investigating things, and Camus is with Heathcliff.

After their journey ended everyone split off to do their own thing, but Lilith decided to remain in Dinus instead of heading back to Dodona. She’s going to continue her acolyte training in Dinus, because Yufisu is the mother of all 6 gods and so she can be worshipped there. Lilith finds herself talking to Madam a lot although when Madam tries to tell her a joke, Lilith doesn’t understand it because of the cultural differences. And so Madam is helping Lilith understand the culture of Dinus and how to live in the city.

Madam asks Lilith where Soo is since he’s not with her and so Lilith informs her that lately he’s been really busy. Banstine seems to call on him a lot. Madam wonders out loud if Banstine is actually serious in making Soo the next king, this worries Lilith because she knows Soo has no intentions on being the next king. He’d like to be testing his own strength rather than ruling, but if things are left as they are he might just become the next king whether he likes it or not. Then Madam asks Lilith if she shouldn’t be going since it’s time for Lilith to head to her lessons.

Lilith winces at the time and she excuses herself quickly before dashing to the palace. Because she’s the saint who saved the world she has to meet a lot of people and so Banstine ordered someone to teach her things like politics and greeting people. Although she thinks it’s also to teach Soo manners and she feels a bit bad that because of her Soo is also dragged into these lessons. As she runs through the hallway, Soo suddenly appears in front of her and stops her from falling after she bounces off of him. She thanks him and then asks what he’s doing here and if he’s coming with her to the lessons.

She tries to tell him that if they don’t head towards the classroom they’ll be late, but he shushes her and whispers that a suspicious person is sneaking around in the palace. Her eyes widen and she asks if that’s true, but Soo just grins and informs her that he lied. What he really wants to do is skip and so he asks if she’ll come with him. Lilith sternly tells him that they can’t or else Banstine will get angry, but Soo tells her that he needs to relax or he’ll die. When she tries to protest again, he actually picks her up and takes her away with her yelling at him to put her down. She even calls him a kidnapper.

Soo takes her up to the palace’s roof and tells her that he found it while he was skipping another class. He points out how the view is great and she agrees since she can see the town and everything surrounding it. Soo’s face becomes serious as he tells her that they saved this world. He brought her up here because he also wanted her to see this view. Lilith asks him if he can put her down, since he’s still carrying her, because she wants to look around on her own feet. He’s surprised since he forgot that he was carrying her but then sets her down. Lilith looks around and comments on how beautiful it is.

The last time they were up here was when they were fighting the Sacred Nebulim and the whole town was in disorder and so she didn’t get a proper look at it. She turns back to ask if Soo doesn’t think so too, but her mouth is soon covered by his as he grabs her and kisses her. Soo tells her lowly 「こんなオレでも世界を守ることができた。それに、戦うことしか知らなかった俺にも、こうして手に入れられたんだ・・・何よりも大事な・・・宝物を」(A person like me was able to protect the world. And also I, who knew nothing but how to fight, am able to grab hold of this.. treasure that is more precious than anything else). Lilith remains silent in his arms.

Soo whispers against her lips 「絶対に離さない。ずっと・・・一緒だ」(I will never let you go. Let’s be together.. forever) and then he kisses her again. She tries to say his name, but as he kisses her she can’t bring herself to feel angry. Somewhere within her she’s happy, but currently her cheeks feel like they’re on fire. He tries to confess something to her, but they’re interrupted by their tutor who is calling out for Soo. The two of them are startled but then they burst into laughter.

Lilith giggles and reminds him that they should have expected it since they did skip their lessons. She asks him if he’ll return with her and apologize, but this just makes Soo pout at how someone just had to come and interrupt them while they were at a good part. Lilith blushes at that and she says his name warningly. He just grins unrepentantly and then asks if she wants to travel alone together with him when they find the time. Lilith agrees, but she wants their next journey to be a peaceful one although she feels safe in Soo’s presence.

He smirks and tells her 「・・・と思うだろ?けど、違う意味で危険かも知んねえぜ?」(.. is what you’d think? But, it might be dangerous in a different way). Lilith is silent but she notices him smirking and realizes that he’s just teasing her, and so this allows her to reply that if it’s Soo then she doesn’t mind. His eyes widen and his mouth slackens in complete surprise, which makes Lilith want to preserve this in her memory for forever. Soo asks with a stutter if she’s serious, but Lilith just giggles.

But Soo hurriedly says 「ちぇ、何だよ。つーか忘れんなよ?約束だからな!」(Che, what’s with that? And don’t forget those words? Since you promised!). Lilith just continues to giggle. And then one day they really do set out on a journey after Banstine decides to give his permission. Soo explained that he wanted to broaden his horizons while Lilith asked to be allowed on a pilgrimage. The two of them are walking through a field with Lilith complaining to Soo that he said it was this way. Soo wonders out loud if he might have mistaken his left and right. Lilith asks if he’s lying, but he hums thoughtfully and thinks that he mistook his east and west.

She can’t help but say his name in exasperation, but Soo cheerfully tells her that it’ll be alright because he’ll protect her if anything happens. Lilith informs him that that isn’t their problem. He looks at her sheepishly, but then she admits that she doesn’t really mind their current situation. He laughingly asks her if she’s serious and she’s surprised by how surprised he is. Soo points out that he’s a little surprised because he thought he was the only one who changed, but so has Lilith. She tells him that’s not it and it’s just that she was wondering what will happen if they’ve lost their way.

Soo realizes what she’s getting at because that means they’ll be able to travel together forever with just the two of them. She nods with a grin and the two of them continue on their warm and peaceful journey that has no end. It’s a journey that doesn’t need words, but is instead filled with happiness. Suddenly Soo tells her 「なあ、リリス。愛してんぜ。世界で一番。ずっとずっと、一緒にいような」(Hey, Lilith. I love you. You’re my number one in the world. Let’s continue to be together for forever).

*** GOOD END ***

In Melrond, Lilith asks him if he was injured anywhere else since he was injured protecting her. Soo is surprised at her insistence to check him, but he reassures her that he isn’t injured anywhere else other than his shoulder. So she heals him and they continue on to find the rest of the party. In Melrond, Lilith tells him that it’s painful to look around at reality, to which Soo tells her that reality doesn’t change even if they don’t look at it. Then he tells her that this might happen again during their lifetime and so they shouldn’t look away. Plus, if they look and learn from this they’ll become strong.

After they defeat Rognar and go to Dinus, they immediately head to Ingrid. They find out Horo is behind everything and so then the party splits up to help protect the other cities. When Banstine asks Soo for his help in fending off the monsters, Lilith tells Soo that she thinks Banstine is testing him to see if Soo can succeed the throne. Soo’s eyes widen as he says that it must be a lie, because he can’t be the next king. Instead of being destroyed from the love lost, Dinus will be destroyed by him if he were to be king.

Lilith apprehensively tells him not to say such scary things. The defeat the Sacred Nebulim and then teleport to the Forested Marjune. Lilith points out that Soo is always relaxing with all his power. Soo is taken aback and calls her mean before telling her that he works hard when it’s time to work hard. He asks if she didn’t notice that, but she tells him that she did get that feeling. He regains his cheer as he tells her that they should rest whenever they can or they won’t be able to save the world.

When Soo jokingly asks her to relax so that they can fool around like they used to, Lilith asks if they’re acting any different right now. Soo grins and admits that he’d like to say it is different right now, but he can’t. But he reminds her that he’s a Vakista now and so he has the duty of saving the world. Lilith sighs and points out that he’s just fooling around now, which makes Soo frown as he tells her that he’s actually being serious. Lilith reluctantly smiles at that and agrees that this is just the way he is. Soo thanks her with a grin, but then he admits that he has something serious to say though.

He gives her his promise and then they regroup with the party. Lilith finds out where Horo is and they prepare to find and defeat him. When Soo asks her why she thinks he’s here, she changes the subject and tells him that she can’t help but worry about their final fight. However it seems like the only thing left for them to do is to just do it. Soo grins and musses up her hair as he asks if she isn’t starting to resemble him. She asks him if he thinks that and he points out that they’ve been together for so long that they’re starting to take on one another’s words.

It’s proof of their love. Lilith remains silent at that, but then Soo tells her 「ま、何があってもリリスのことはオレが守るからさ。絶対オレから離れんなよ?・・・な?」(Anyway, no matter what happens I’ll protect you. So don’t leave my side.. okay?). Then they travel to the Sea of Oblivion and confront Horo. They win through the power of their love and everyone else’s support. Flames consume Horo’s body and the curse is destroyed, but while the two of them are happy at the beginning Soo ends up confessing that he feels a little empty after defeating Horo even though he should be happy.

He apologizes for saying those things since they’re not like him and then he tells her not to worry about it. He wonders what will happen now that Horo is defeated, but Lilith just thinks there will be more things to do. The world will definitely be alright now though. Soo grins in agreement and then suggests that they head back because Nayuta will definitely yell out that they’re slow and be angry. They collect everyone along their way back, but this time Soo and Lilith aren’t holding hands and so no one asks them about it.

Instead they just make remarks about how slow Soo was and Nate even admits that he was worried about Lilith because he thought Soo made a blunder and so he was worried. Anyway, the party returns to the airship to find Nayuta and then they head to Dinus to inform everyone of the good news. Lilith meets with Kadash, Remuna, and Banstine who inform her that the world is still injured gravely and it will take a long time for it to heal, however everyone is willing to work hard and fix it.

Then Lilith returns to Madam to inform her about the rest of the party. Kirite is fixing things up in Savila. Nayuta is waiting in Ingrid for pilgrims. Nico and Nate are exploring the world, and Camus is with Heathcliff. Meanwhile, Soo is still gambling in the casino and losing all his money. However, the one that has changed is that he only gambles to relax and release his stress although Lilith thinks that those periods of relaxation for him occur very often. Madam appears to yell at Soo and she orders him to hurry up and leave since it’s time for him to go to the palace.

Lilith would have liked to return to Dodona, but because Soo begged her to stay she continues to remain in Dinus. Some time passes and Lilith heads to the palace to walk back home with Soo, but she can’t find him anywhere which annoys her. She suddenly hears his voice from the rooftop of the palace though and so she goes there to find him. She yells out sternly that she knows she’s there and when he appears in front of her she lectures him about how Banstine will be angry if he’s skipping his classes again.

Soo just sheepishly laughs and tells her that his father won’t find out but she continues to frown at him. When he asks if he can stay out here for just a few minutes longer, she tells him that he can’t. Soo pouts but then relents and asks her for a hand to help him down then, but when she gives it to him he actually pulls her up. He reasons that it’d be a waste to stay indoors when the weather is so nice and Lilith can’t help but give in. She reminds him that it’s only for a little while though and he nods eagerly before urging her to look at the scenery.

Lilith remarks on how beautiful it is and Soo softly comments on how this is the world they saved. Up until now he didn’t realize how beautiful it was. When she says his name questioningly he frowns and admits that it was probably because he didn’t bother to look. Then he asks Lilith if he can change, to which she tells him that she believes he can. In fact she thinks he’s already changed but he just hasn’t realized it yet. Soo murmurs 「そうかな。でもひとつだけ・・・変わって欲しくないこともあるんだ」(You might be right. But there’s one thing.. that I don’t want to change).

When she asks what it is, he blushes and says 「リリスと・・・一緒にいること」(Being together.. with you). She blushes but he continues on to admit that so long as she’s by his side then he’ll be content. Lilith decides to promise him that she’ll stay then and he agrees to it shyly. But then he grins cheekily and informs her that he hasn’t received a reward for saving the world yet. Lilith repeats his words in shock and then tells him that he hasn’t changed at all if he wants something. Soo pouts and tells her that it can’t be helped if he wants things.

Then he asks her if she’ll give him one. Lilith is surprised by that but she agrees and tells him that if she can give him it then she will. He grins and responds that if it weren’t her then he wouldn’t be able to receive his reward. Lilith blinks in confusion and asks him what it is then, the one thing that only she can do. But Soo just replies 「んじゃ、いいよな?いただきまーす!」(Then, it’s fine right? I’ll have a taste now~!). And then he kisses her.

Ah CZ, I heard that game is good, but I tried it before and the language is so confusing. So many words that I don’t know hehe.

Ah Amnesia Later, I can’t wait for it to be released ^^ And I’ll look forward for your review xD

Soo.. he is an okay character IMO but dunno why I feel that his story is lacking something. But his ending is cute^^

When I look back on his route, he was an okay of a character. He was really kind and brotherly.. but also just an enormous ridiculous idiot www and I say that with the utmost affection. But yeah, I definitely agree that something is just.. off about him.

Thank you so much for continuing to comment on my posts, even though I think you’ve probably commented all on Rin’s BtF posts (/ω\). I-I’m so slowww~

No problem, I like reading the review from other perspective ^^ It’s nice to see different opinions. So I assume it’s only one left ne? Camus isn’t?

Yep, just Camus~! And then I’m not too sure what I will do. I really really should be picking up Clock Zero as my next game though, so I’m thinking I’ll just play Ikki’s route in Amnesia Later and then come back and blog about it later after I finish CZ wwww. At least, that’s my plan if everything goes well and nothing distracts me.. (like what BtF did to me after I finished Gekka).
