Sengoku Night Blood ~ VICTORIOUS ~

Posted on Updated on

Here we have Shingen’s song!

Note1: Are you tired of all the fire symbolism in his song yet? |D I’m making a joke out of it to stop myself from feeling so sad about his song.

VICTORIOUS
Victorious

The air flowing in this Sengoku frenzy is constantly inspiring morale
I can’t say what this feeling is // Tell me what to call this

Scorch the earth, burn the heavens, before the flame of life exhausts itself
Summon up that reckless courage // I want to continue to taste it; the flavor of glory

Can you see it // The blowing wind // It’s still too early, too quick
The silence of the woods waits for a chance of victory
I’m burning up // Deep crimson // The fire is raging hot
My aspirations are an immovable mountain

Even this situation which isn’t straight forward, everything is as it was drawn in my mind
A strength that doesn’t concern itself about danger and a skilled plan meeting in firmness

This bestowed fraternity changes shape // When I realized it the road to the world spread out
An oath to the words out of my mouth // I leave behind to the ones who follow after, my essence

Can you see it // The blowing wind // It’s still too early, too quick
The silence of the woods waits for a chance of victory
I’m burning up // Deep crimson // The fire is raging hot
My aspirations are an immovable mountain

This time to leave behind my claw marks
because I cannot waste even a second
My body is consumed with passion

Can you see it // The blowing wind // It’s still too early, too quick
The silence of the woods waits for a chance of victory
I’m burning up // Deep crimson // The fire is raging hot
My aspirations are an immovable mountain

This battle is already in my hands

Thank you for the lyrics translation!! i’m not sure it’s just me being super overwhelming but i feel that shingen in this game is quite different from other sengoku games (basara; sengoku musou; even other otome games like ikemen sengoku and so on)… rather than a big cow oji-san, he’s more like someone i wanna protect so much ; w ; (i have a huge soft spot for those ‘dying but still living his life at its fullest’ characters like him) and omg the magic of konishi-san’s voice…

i had to pause date’s route after watching anime ep3 (i’m so sorry masamune…but my heart couldn’t take it when i saw him fainted…) he’s now one of my fav…shingen-san please become my wife———//bricked

You’re welcome!! I cracked up at the “big cow oji-san” fgkjhkfjgh it’s hilarious to see different interpretations / adaptations of characters in other media but YEAH the Shingen here is so caring and considerate and charming :’)) with that dash of tragedy. Burning so bright but short.

Ahaha, it’s a nice coincidence that I’m in the middle of doing Takeda’s route then since he’s growing in your bias list ;D knocking out Masamune.

Is he playing a zither? I friggin love those things, and when there’s a character drawn with it, character gets major plus points + v + )) ~ I love the guitar, but overall, it was a bit underwhelming ^^ )) ~ Thanks! I rlly like the lyrics in this one. Very passionate x))

It’s a koto I believe! Zithers are much smaller and handheld iirc but heck these stringed instruments are pretty much all related to each other |D;; LOL it gives the characters a cultured feeling right? I know Kenshin in the anime plays a biwa but not too sure in the game. He plays “something” but I forgot to look up what it was other than some kind of stringed instrument, woops.

Passionate but also a bit tinged in sadness :”D since flames burn out and those parts about his time running out, oh no. I hope the next 3 songs are good though I wasn’t too impressed with the teasers for Uesugi and Oda.

I love how the main words of the song seem to reflect Shingen’s real life banner or motto though. Furinkazan- wind, forest, fire, mountain. Or as swift as wind, as gentle as forest, as fierce as fire, as unshakable as mountain.

!! Nice catch! They’re all in order too, wow, that’s a cool nod to Shingen’s real life motto |D

THIS DOG IS ON FIRE—//bricked. I like the prose since it really reflects Shingen’s character, but everything else in the song is kinda meh. I was hoping full version would change my initial thoughts as with everyone else’s character songs besides Hideyoshi and Masamune. Anyway, the lyrics remind me of “Brave Shine” and “LAST STARDUST” by Aimer to some extent, haha. Thanks and good luck with future translations.

Oh no poor Shingen LOL but I feel the same way. I liked the game’s OP but was meh on the anime OP but their full versions made me really love them. I liked Hideyoshi’s and then liked it even more hearing the full version and that guitar riff. But Shingen’s… yeah… hmmmmm. Ooh, I’ve heard of those songs from Aimer but I never looked into their lyrics. I’m gonna have to do that!
