Chapter 7: Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained
In order to obtain even more clues to Himemiko, Shingen decided to battle again with Uesugi.
The commanders of Takeda begin training for their battle with Uesugi, but!?
Several days after we returned to Takeda territory from Uesugi territory– I carried medicine to Shingen-san as usual.
[YUZUKI]: “Shingen-san, I brought today’s medicine.”
[SHINGEN]: “Oh, it’s that time already, huh. Sorry about this all the time.”
.[YUZUKI]: “Haha. By the way, I added a sweet pill today for you to guess at.”
[YUZUKI]: “Good medicine is bitter… but you’ve been enduring all the bitter ones and taking them, so today is special.”
[SHINGEN]: “Oh, really!? Mm, no wonder you’re the Takeda army’s famed herbalist. You’re even thorough with your care.”
[YUZUKI]: “Geez, you’re overexaggerating, Shingen-san.”
[SHINGEN]: “Haha, I’ve only said the truth. Now then, which one is the sweet one…!?”
[YUZUKI]: “I made them exactly like each other as much as I could, so I don’t think you can tell from their appearance, you know?”
[SHINGEN]: “… Mmgh. It’s true they’re well made. I can’t tell them apart at all.”
[SHINGEN]: “… Alright, how about this one!”
Shingen-san grabbed a pill and popped it in his mouth and swallowed– his brows drew together.
[SHINGEN]: “Guegh… as usual it’s bitter…!”
[YUZUKI]: “Looks like you were off. I’ll keep this sweet one for next time then.”
Shingen-san looked annoyed but I was relieved by his energetic appearance.
[YUZUKI]: (After coming home, his health seems much more stable, I’m glad…)
When I returned to my room, Imari-kun was sitting there small and quiet.
[YUZUKI]: “Huh, Imari-kun? You’ve returned!”
[IMARI]: “Yes… um, I’m sorry for what happened back then! I made you go through danger…!”
[YUZUKI]: (Go through danger… Does he mean the time I was caught by Kenshin-san?)
[KENSHIN]: “… I will have you come with me.”
Imari-kun gave a small nod and his shoulders dropped. It looked like he felt a considerable amount of responsibility.
[YUZUKI]: “Certainly, it was scary but… but it was you who led Shingen-san to where I was, right, Imari-kun?”
[IMARI]: “Y-Yes. Because that’s about the only thing I could do…”
[YUZUKI]: “Thanks to that I was saved, so you don’t have to worry about it anymore.”
[IMARI]: “Uu, uuu…! To hear you say that…!”
[YUZUKI]: “That reminds me, Imari-kun, you haven’t yet seen the sacred treasure we got then, huh… Here, it’s this necklace.”
I took out the sacred treasure I stored on the shelf and showed it to Imari-kun.
[YUZUKI]: (Come to think of it, this thing glowed before. It won’t do something like glow again… right?)
I thought that and, as if it were responding to my words, the sacred treasure suddenly shone.
[IMARI]: “Uwawawa! W-What is this!?”
The light settled immediately. However, the light right now certainly pointed to somewhere.
[IMARI]: “… That direction just now, isn’t it pointing to Uesugi territory?”
[YUZUKI]: “Yes, I think so too. There might still be clues to Himemiko-sama there…”
[IMARI]: “I see… then I should go and collected information in Uesugi territory immediately!”
[YUZUKI]: “Ah, Imari-kun…!”
Imari-kun left the room and, as if replacing him, Masatoyo-san and Masakage-kun popped their heads in unexpectedly.
[MASAKAGE]: “Hey, did something shine from here or what?”
[MASATOYO]: “Are you alright? What exactly happened?”
[YUZUKI]: “Oh… um, actually–“
[NOBUHARU]: “… I see. The sacred treasure shone and the direction it pointed to was–“
[SHINGEN]: “Uesugi territory in the end, huh.”
[MASANOBU]: “Yes. We ascertained her words with a map and there is no mistake.”
[YUZUKI]: (… In order to return to my original world I need to find Himemiko-sama. And that clue is in Uesugi territory, which means…)
[MASATOYO]: “… There is only one thing for us to do, isn’t there.”
[MASAKAGE]: “Shingen-sama, we gotta do it!”
[SHINGEN]: “Yeah, that’s right. This thing might be telling me to cut it out and settle everything.”
[SHINGEN]: “Yep, it’s decided. We’re going to attack Uesugi again!”
