SNB Takeda ~ Chapter 7.5 ~

Chapter 7: Nothing Ventured, Nothing Gained

In order to obtain even more clues to Himemiko, Shingen decided to battle again with Uesugi.

The commanders of Takeda begin training for their battle with Uesugi, but!?

Chapter 7.5

We returned to the castle and immediately reported on the kidnapping just now to Shingen-san.

[SHINGEN]: “The perpetrator was a townsman. But the one who ordered it was the werewolf with an eyepatch, huh…”

[MASATOYO]: “Yes. Moreover, he appeared to know about the sacred treasure we brought back from Uesugi territory as well.”

[YUZUKI]: “… Um. Does everyone have a guess as to who that man was?”

.[MASANOBU]: “Mm. It’s most likely… Date Masamune.”

[MASAKAGE]: “Yeah. A werewolf with an eyepatch and that unordinary atmosphere… there’s no mistake.”

[YUZUKI]: (By Date Masamune they meant that famous Date Masamune, right… Then, does that mean another tough enemy has appeared?)

[SHINGEN]: “……”

[YUZUKI]: (Shingen-san is quiet and has been looking down… I wonder what’s wrong?)

[NOBUHARU]: “… Shingen, we have no choice now that it’s come to this. We cannot disperse our forces in the end, wouldn’t you say?”

[MASAKAGE]: “Huh? What do you mean? I’m not following along at all…”

Shingen-san gave a rare sigh and then raised his head to look at me.

[SHINGEN]: “… Actually, you see, I was planning to leave you behind in the castle for this next expedition.”

[YUZUKI]: “Huh…!?”

[SHINGEN]: “But, now knowing you’re being targeted, I can’t leave you behind.”

[NOBUHARU]: “Aa. Our next battle with Uesugi will be an all-out war. We cannot divide our forces to guard you.”

[YUZUKI]: (Shingen-san and the others were thinking about that. With this, I get to go along with them but…)

[YUZUKI]: (In the end, when I’m there, no one can move as they like. I’ve become a burden…)

That night, I couldn’t sleep at all and so I went up to Shingen-san’s room.

[YUZUKI]: (… There’s no lights. Is he sleeping already?)

I gave up and tried to return to my room, but then Shingen-san and Masanobu-san came from that direction.

[SHINGEN]: “Hm? What’s wrong. Is there something you need from me?”

[YUZUKI]: “Ah… Shingen-san. You haven’t gone to sleep yet.”

[SHINGEN]: “Yeah, I was having a war meeting with Masanobu, but… looks like I’m going to need alcohol again.”

[SHINGEN]: “Masnaobu, sorry but could I ask you to prepare some?”

[MASANOBU]: “Yes, I understand. Both of you, please wait in the room.”

[MASANOBU]: “Shingen-sama, I brought sweet sake. I thought she would be able to drink this too.”

[YUZUKI]: “T-Thank you.”

[MASANOBU]: “You’re welcome. Now then, I shall be outside.”

[SHINGEN]: “No, I don’t mind if you go back to your ro–“

[MASANOBU]: “No, I will be standing by outside.”

Masanobu-san was showing his usual smile but somehow I could feel a pressure. And that seemed to be the case for Shingen-san too.

[SHINGEN]: “… I’m not gonna do anything weird. Hurry up and leave the room.”

I took a sip and then another sip of the warm sweet sake. I felt my feelings soften just a little.

[SHINGEN]: “… So, what’s wrong. Are you troubled by something again? Since you’e such a serious person.”

[YUZUKI]: “I-I’m sorry. You listened to me the other time too.”

[YUZUKI]: “… Um, I felt better, but I feel like it doesn’t change how I’m a burden in the end.”

But Shingen-san gave a large shake of his head.

[SHINGEN]: “No, you’re wrong. You’re not a burden.”

[YUZUKI]: “But I’ve… just been saved over and over and over again…!”

[SHINGEN]: “That’s fine. Saving, being saved, that’s what comrades do.”

[SHINGEN]: “You seem to be thinking you’re just one-sidedly being indebted to us, but we feel indebted to you too.”

[YUZUKI]: “You and the others…? But I can’t do anything…”

[SHINGEN]: “No, that’s not true. You’ve been helpful to us. You make medicine and you give us your blood– right?”

[SHINGEN]: “That’s why I want to protect you and return you to your old world.”

[SHINGEN]: “You should hold up your head and proudly ask us to save you.”

[YUZUKI]: “… Shingen-san.”

Shingen-san suddenly gave me a small smile.

[SHINGEN]: “We’ll definitely protect you… so, I’d like you to come with us on this expedition.”

[YUZUKI]: “… Thank you so much. I’ll be in your care!”

I nodded deeply and decided this in my heart.

[YUZUKI]: (I’m going to stop losing my way. In the future, no matter what dangerous things happen, I’m going to move forward with everyone in the Takeda army…!)

(T/N: There’s going to be a delay because I need to collect the rest of Shingen’s potion scenes and translate them, then 2* card with all our favorite lady killers, and then we need to jump to Sanada to join them up with everyone else.)

      Mhm! It’s scheduled after I finish up with the login letters from Takeda. I just took a major detour to do other translations |D;;

Pfft Masanobu being overprotective and not allowing Shingen and MC to have some quality alone time at first cracks me up so bad. Tsk tsk. Too bad Shingen. Should’ve checked if the door was locked before letting MC sit on your lap ( ̄ω ̄) would’ve been able to do more than that to her too if you had been more careful lmfao

I don’t think they can actually lock their sliding screen doors LOL but yeah poor Shingen ever since he got caught with the heroine so close to him everyone is now eyeing him suspiciously. They don’t want to let him get another jump on them–.

But Shingen is a gentlewol— gentleman so be at ease Masanobu 😂 lol

I dunno about that after they all saw the MC sitting on Shingen’s knees and Shingen’s hand on her cheek and her hand on his– HAHAHA. I just love the random flare of jealousy and protectiveness from Masanobu though :’)) he’s realized he has to be more proactive.

Shingen is so thoughtful here as per usual and Masanobu being a chivalrous gentlemen. Whatever Masamune is planning is going off on a hitch so far, it was a win win situation with the beforehand stunt. If they managed to kidnapped Yuzuki they would’ve taken away a power up if not Takeda would’ve have to bring her along based on the reported attempt.

I noticed the picture of Arlen carrying a boutique of white flowers and his past child self with his twin on the side twitter feed and it reminded me of the Christmas side stories with each of the boys. I managed to get the gist of his story no thanks to auto google translate where the story takes place after his CD where he finds himself thinking about his twin and then the heroine and wondering what kind of relationship they have. In response he arranged and got a bouquet of flowers for her. You can read it here:

I suppose its no surprise that Arlen is your favorite dude out of the series judging from the influx of Rouge et Noir that was posted last time? I have to admit the series sound very intriguing but it rather difficult to find translations of it just like the Tatarikon series.

Masanobu’s sudden awareness towards his own lord is always going to make me giggle. But YEAH I love Masamune’s plan because of that double-layer about how if no one saved the MC in time then he could have gotten information and potentially her out of the deal. If she did get saved, he’d just move to Plan B and it was actually already factored into his plans too. I love my ruthless boy.

ARLEN IS HANDS DOWN ONE OF MY FAVORITES. I have like 3 drama CD men that are wayyyy up there in terms of bias and Arlen is one of them :’))) I’ve read that story before. I know teyuuka’s done translations for the first 3 volumes. I was thinking of tackling it properly one day too because I have the data file but considering how many projects I’m already juggling… aha… ha…

I did some twitter moments about Rouge et Noir if you’re curious about learning more bits and pieces of it. There’s the chronology here and then some fun interview questions and then the SHORT STORIES THAT NEVER FAIL TO MAKE ME CRY. ESPECIALLY ARLEN’S.

Akh finally, my works are done (for now) and I can rest and read the new chapter…
Err… I found typos “c ome” and “Masnaobu” in up there, but it doesn’t matter me, don’t worry about that…

Aahh… Thankfully for your hard works, I’ll wait the *2 of ladykillers, but… How to saw again those potion scenes? I don’t know which button that should I click… ^^’a

Can’t wait the next part~!! Thank you for your hard works~!!

Oops, thanks for catching those typos! I’ve fixed them now :).

Like, seeing the potion scenes in the game? Or the potion scenes in general? Because I haven’t made Shingen’s interaction post yet if that’s what you’re wondering. If you’re wondering about it in-game then you just need to give potions to the guys and it’ll take you to a random bronze, silver, gold, or purple/black potion depending on amount of potions you give the men.

Err, no I mean… I like to see the potion scenes again without have to give the cards any potion…

        And I’ll wait the Shingen’s potion scenes~ Thank you again~ ^^

yes, you should leave the room.

    Masanobu, lol~
But when Shingen says he’s not going to do anything weird, I believe him.
Now, if Hideyoshi is the one saying it though…. (^-^”)

I guess I found another good point of Shingen here.
Yuzuki has this… complex in each route, but I think Shingen handles it best.
He listens to her, acknowledges her feeling, but then also calmly explains how they feel about her.
He’s still not for me, but damn if I don’t admit he makes a mighty fine husband.

      Ilinox responded:
      July 11, 2018 at 20:55

Eheh, that’s true that once Shingen gives his word you can rest assured. But the fact that he even has to say that cracks me up too. Just what in the world are these men thinking, hm? ;)

I think Oda and Toyotomi handle it pretty well too but that’s probably because of how overbearing they are and Toyotomi’s MC has her hands full just trying to fend off Hideyoshi’s flirtiness LOL. But yeah, I love how mature the vibe in Takeda is? And just how much of an adult Shingen is. I mean Kenshin definitely gives off a mature vibe too but his noble justice aura is so strong that it creates its own problems LOL.

The funny thing is that the one who is more likely to do anything weird is actually Masanobu. XD

With Nobunaga, I just feel like he’s giving a command or something, lol, and yeah, having to fend off Hideyoshi is difficult. But if I think about it, the rest of Toyotomi guys are quite mature too. It’s just their leader. :”)

I mean Kenshin definitely gives off a mature vibe too but his noble justice aura is so strong that it creates its own problems LOL. -> TOTALLY AGREE. |D

i feel bad for kenshin. i really like him but… i’ll rather not confess and i will stay away from him. he is to pure i dont want to taint him.

Hahahahaha, Masanobu’s learned his lesson from last time! He’s not letting Shingen get the MC on his knees again–. Hopefully all the scenes come quickly and easily :’D I’m still missing like 15 of them and they’re the hardest ones to get.

Roger that! Thank you for your hard work, I’m excited about the 2*card of lady killers😆

LOL Masanobu, you don’t even try to hide it. Never expect to see him as a cockblocker here especially with his own lord. “I’m not gonna do anything weird”, Shingen said. LOL

      Ilinox responded:
      July 11, 2018 at 20:51

It’s a pretty funny card |D I might do that one first before Shingen’s depending on how long it takes me to get his potions (the game recently updated the way you can give the men potions and it’s throwing off the combinations I used to use, ack).

Masanobu’s persistence here cracked me up and surprised me. He’s just so deadpan about it too and Shingen is like ;;;;;;;;; really cowed and embarrassed. HE PROBABLY STILL REMEMBERS THAT TIME THE HEROINE WAS SITTING ON HIS KNEES.
