Chapter 2: Determination, the Strength to Protect!

Brought along by Imari, she went to search for a clue at the place “Himemiko” was supposed to have visited.

In the middle of that, she caught a glimpse of Yukimura’s inner character from the talks of the people and their lives.

Chapter 2.4

[YUZUKI]: (The dango was delicious. And the people of the town were all nice people… Heehee, I’d like to go again.)

[YUZUKI]: (… Ah, the person coming this way is… Nobuyuki-san.)

[NOBUYUKI]: “Perfect, I was just looking for you.”

.[YUZUKI]: “Huh? Me?”

[NOBUYUKI]: “Yes, I’d like to hear about yesterday’s events in more detail. If you don’t mind, Yukimura is waiting in the main hall, so won’t you come?”

[YUZUKI]: “Ah… Okay, I understand.”

[NOBUYUKI]: “I see. When you were about to be attacked by a yakuma, Yukimura…”

[YUZUKI]: “Yes. If Yukimura-san hadn’t come, I don’t know what’d become of me now.”

[NOBUYUKI]: “In any case, I’m glad both of you are safe.”

[NOBUYUKI]: “The color in Yukimura’s face changed and then he rushed out, so we were worried as well. Even more so, since he didn’t consult us.”

[YUKIMURA]: “S-Sorry, brother. When I thought about her being in danger, my body just moved…”

[NOBUYUKI]: “… Good gracious.”

[NOBUYUKI]: “But, well, this isn’t the first time you’ve gone to help someone without thinking, so it was inevitable.”

[YUKIMURA]: “Huh? Then you’ll forgive me!?”

[NOBUYUKI]: “Yes. It’s fine, don’t worry, I’m only going to have you wipe the floors.”

[YUKIMURA]: “Uuu… I-I understand. I was prepared for something like that.”

[NOBUYUKI]: “Good. Of course, it’ll be all the corridors of the castle.”

[YUKIMURA]: “W-Wait a minute! Really? Are you seriously saying that!?”

[NOBUYUKI]: “Sanada clan rules. If you’re going to complain, I’ll add one more task.”

[NOBUYUKI]: “Yukimura, you decided this yourself, right?”

[YUKIMURA]: “Y-Yes, that’s true but… but still all the corridors is a bit!”

[NOBUYUKI]: “Come on. If you don’t hurry then the sun will set, you know?”

[YUKIMURA]: “Kgh… DAAAAMMIT!”

[NOBUYUKI]: “Now then, next, it’s about your punishment.”

[NOBUYUKI]: “I believe you’ve learned this time, but try not to slip out of the castle alone anymore.”

[NOBUYUKI]: “In the case when you want to go out at night, go together with someone, either me or Yukimura is fine. Understand?”

[YUZUKI]: “Yes… I understand.”

[YUZUKI]: (Umm, I feel apologetic to Imari-kun because searching in that place has gotten difficult…)

[NOBUYUKI]: “If you’ve reflected on your actions, then just take care next time. It’d be nice if Yukimura could also listen to this though…”

[NOBUYUKI]: “Oops, I strayed from the topic.”

[NOBUYUKI]: “Ahem. Now, I’ll tell you your punishment.”

[YUZUKI]: (……)

[NOBUYUKI]: “Your punishment is–“

[NOBUYUKI]: “Is what I’d like to say, but…”

[YUZUKI]: (Wha!? His hand’s on my forehead…)

[NOBUYUKI]: “… I thought your face has been red and apparently it seems you have a fever.”

[NOBUYUKI]: “On top of arriving from a different world, you must be tired from being chased by yakuma.”

[YUZUKI]: “N-No… I, um…”

[NOBUYUKI]: “If you don’t feel well, then you mustn’t push yourself too hard… We’ll deal with your punishment next time.”

[NOBUYUKI]: “For today, take it easy and rest. Alright?”

[YUZUKI]: “I-I’m sorry. In addition to all this, I’ve just been a nuisance…”

[NOBUYUKI]: “Nuisance? Not at all. You’re already one of us, so please don’t be reserved.”

[NOBUYUKI]: “Now, good night for today. Please get better soon.”

[YUZUKI]: “T-Thank you. Good night.”

[YUZUKI]: (Not only did I cause everyone trouble yesterday, but I even caught a cold… I need to reflect on my actions.)

[IMARI]: “Guh… wah… uu… wah.”

[YUZUKI]: (Eh? W-What? What’s that noise!?)

[IMARI]: “WAHHHHH… I’M SO GLAD!”

[YUZUKI]: “H-Huh!? You!”

[IMARI]: “Uu… wahh… I’m so sorry. After everything, I kept on looking for you… but I couldn’t find you…”

[IMARI]: “I thought you might have died… uu…”

[IMARI]: “But now that I’ve seen you like this again I’m really glad.”

[IMARI]: “Erm, um… I’m really sorry you were put in danger because of me.”

[YUZUKI]: “That’s… nothing you need to worry about.”

[IMARI]: “No, I… I’ve thought about my actions. I’ll search for information on Himemiko-sama alone after this for a while.”

[IMARI]: “So, until then, please wait here and relax! I’ll definitely grab a clue to Himemiko-sama and come!”

[YUZUKI]: (He’s gone. I tried to tell him that I didn’t mind but because of the cold my voice…)

[YUZUKI]: (Still, a clue to Himemiko-sama… huh.)

[YUZUKI]: (I want to go home to my original world so it’d be nice if we found something, but…)

[YUKIMURA]: “… But still, I want to protect those who are important to me.”

[YUKIMURA]: “My brother, Sasuke, Saizou, and Kamanosuke. All the soldiers who follow me. The townspeople, the villagers… everyone in Sanada territory.”

[YUKIMURA]: “And, of course, you’re included.”

[NOBUYUKI]: “Nuisance? Not at all. You’re already one of us, so please don’t be reserved.”

[YUZUKI]: “If I found a clue to return to my old world, then I’d have to leave everyone, right…”

[YUZUKI]: “… That’s a bit sad, maybe.”

Imari…… it was very reckless to drag her out by herself……

It’s great to see Nobuyuki understanding the circumstances and taking on the mom role!!!! The part where Yukimura zipped off to get to work though… oh jeez, I’m smiling so wide right now
Sanada’s circumstances are pretty calm…… I mean, while Date also has the family bond (OHANA!!!), there’s a line with how Kojuurou says “If this is an order from the general…” and the other armies with the generals clearly in total control

Yuzuki’s hesitation on leaving…… GURL I TOTALLY UNDERSTAND!!!!!!!!!!

This chapter is making me laugh so much for some reason…… Should enjoy it while it’s here! Thanks for the translation!

I really wish I could show just how fast he zoomed off but it’ll just have to be something for the game players to enjoy LOL. Ah, that’s very true that in the end Date still obeys Masamune no matter what but Yukimura gets scolded so much here by Nobuyuki or gets disobeyed by others (if they really disagree with his methods) so it’s much more relaxed. I always viewed Date as having a grittier sort of bloodthirsty family since their the smallest and riskiest army |D while Sanada has a relaxed warm friendly one.

      Thanks for commenting!

Owww….. That’s was harsh boy, but you can do it lol 😂 like I said before I can’t blame Imari for it but since mama Nobuyuki gives punishment to our adorable puppy, it’s makes me feel like I want to slaps that baby tanuki’s booty 😜

HSJFGHJSH Imari’s just trying to do his best!! And he’s loyal only to the MC so he doesn’t care about what trouble the army itself gets in– hahahaha. Poor Yukimura though :’)) in front of his older brother he can only suck it up and get punished (I like that he’s aware of how reckless he is though).

I think, in everyone’s route (forgot the Mouri one tbh), Imari always cause Yuzuki in trouble, like make herself run away alone, or make her leave the castle. I want to kick this tanuki (jk jk)

Hmm… It’s kinda interesting that Nobuyuki scolded Yukimura and punished him with wiped all corridor’s floor XD Maybe this is the reason why I like Nobuyuki (putting aside his seiyuu was Morikubo-san)

Can’t wait the next part~ Thank you for your hard works~!!

Ili, I say your tweets about onmyouji Kenshin, and OMG, poems again? Uesugi people really likes poems and wakas… Kinda remind me to “Kyoto Teramachi Sanjou no Holmes”, this anime was mention many kinds of those all…

Are you want to share translations about the card? I just want to asking, I appreciate all your decision, don’t worry… ^^

        LOL pretty much with Imari! Although, without Imari, she also wouldn’t have a clue as to where to start to find her way back so |D;;

Nobuyuki and Yukimura’s relationship really shows how relaxed the atmosphere in Sanada is imo. Everyone else has a strict hierarchy where the general commands all and if they put their foot down, then that’s it and no one else can say anything (Oda, Toyotomi, Uesugi, and Takeda). Even Date, which is the army right after Sanada that also pushes a family theme, has that going on where Kojuurou and Shigezane are free to give their opinions (especially because of how close they are to Masamune, all being childhood friends) but once Masamune decides on something then Kojuurou is instantly like “if this is an order from the general then I will obey”. But this isn’t the case in Sanada where the general is held to the same rules/punishments |D.

Haha, it was titled as poems but turns out that none of them had any poetry in them at all so I felt a little bit ripped off LOL. Nah, I won’t be sharing it though /o\ while nice, it didn’t give me a burning desire to translate it, haha.

The dynamic in Sanada clan is really interesting…
Yukimura’s obviously the leader and the general, but in front of Nobuyuki, he’s just otouto-kun. |D
Oh well, Nobuyuki’s the one running the household after all, so he’s in a way… “a lady of the house”? Pfft.
Goodness, now I’m picturing Nobuyuki with hands on his waist and telling Yukimura, “You are grounded, young man!” lmao

I think they essentially co-lead |D;; Yukimura is the face and moral core and Nobuyuki is the logistics and planner. But L M A O I don’t think the title “lady of the house” is too far off for him. You should have seen how they did this scene because after Yukimura is like “DAMMIIIIIIIT” he just zips off super fast.

Nobuyuki going disciplinary dad mode here which I’m guessing is pretty frequent since Yukimura had to make terms of agreement to pacify his anger concerning his reckless tendencies.

In the other routes Yuzuki mentions about wanting return home, but I can’t remember the same tone of sadness of having to leave her new friends behind in the other routes. I guess her POV on returning home is different for each route.

In Toyotomi turning down the marriage proposal in light of an eventual return is the focus there. In Uesugi she seems a bit more fixated on Kenshin then going back, I mean come on with all the lovely description on his physiques what are the chances she will meet someone like him in her world lol. In Oda’s route she only came to a realization of how important they are to her in her quest to go home was in a dire situation she thought she caused, I don’t really blame her family warmth isn’t really the focus in Oda. Oda, why your villainous aura has to be so strong it makes it harder for outsiders to see your good guy qualities?!

I can’t really remember the others, I remember she had difficulty conveying her situation in Takeda to the point it required Masanobu and Shingen to gently coax her about it and in Date it got really hectic at times that she is kept preoccupied most of the time.

Oh, that’s an interesting view! I actually thought those Sanada house rules about chores needing to be done, and increasing in one task if you complain, was something Yukimura set up mostly to keep track of Sasuke, Saizou, and Kamanosuke LOL. But Nobuyuki is using it here on Yukimura too (also to show how the general isn’t above everyone else).

Yeah! I like how they touch this topic of going home with different intensities. I’d say her sadness at going home and leaving people behind is strongest in Toyotomi and Date and Takeda. Uesugi was all about Kenshin’s ideals, like you mentioned, so no room for MC angst. Oda… Nobunaga isn’t going to let her go home, c’mon LOL, so I don’t think she dares to even think about it HAHA. Nobunaga keeps things going really fast so she’s just kind of dragged along as a tool.

We haven’t touched much on Mouri yet at all but it’s kind of the same tone there. She wants to head home and Mouri is more than happy to help her, but there is a bit of a hesitation at how her going home will involve them in the world stage. (Although that all ends up being moot because the rest of the armies start moving and so Mouri isn’t given a choice with how everyone’s invading them |D).

come here imari kun, i will punish you for getting myself in trouble

[YUZUKI]: “If I found a clue to return to my old world, then I’d have to leave everyone, right…”
    [YUZUKI]: “… That’s a bit sad, maybe.”

i also wonder what the other guys also feel

Poor Imari but I totally agree in this route that what they did was extremely reckless, and I can’t believe Imari dragged her out too ;;;;; which makes it seem like he’s all to blame. (In the other routes, the MC is the one who runs out on her own decision or after she agrees with Imari).

Hehe, you’ll see soon enough what some members of Sanada feel after they really start searching for Himemiko clues in earnest.
