Chapter 8: Beliefs, Sticking to Obligation and Chivalry!

The Sanada army moved their army forward seeking clues to Himemiko.

Yukimura and the others wished to avoid pointless battles but in front of them the Takeda Army fell into a predicament…!

Chapter 8.3

[YUKIMURA]: “This area should be good.”

There was something that needed to be done– Yukimura-kun said that and I was taken by him deep into the woods.

[YUKIMURA]: “… Can you touch this?”

What Yukimura-kun took out slowly was the sacred treasure hairpin.

[YUKIMURA]: “I’d like to confirm Himemiko-sama’s location one more time.”

I nodded and gently touched it.

When I did the sacred treasure released a light that stretched to the side.

[YUKIMURA]: “It’s like I thought, the clue is close.”

[YUZUKI]: “Looks like it.”

I compared the direction of the light with the sacred treasure and nodded.

[YUZUKI]: “We came to a place where no one was so that we wouldn’t be found out by the Takeda army, huh.”

[YUKIMURA]: “Yeah. I trust Shingen but when it concerns Himemiko-sama there’s a possibility it’ll become a battle.”

[YUZUKI]: (Yukimura-kun… even though he respects Shingen-san, he’s thinking calmly as the general of Sanada…)

[YUKIMURA]: “… That’s why Himemiko-sama’s clue looks close.”

Yukimura-kun gathered everyone in the end and held a strategy meeting.

[NOBUYUKI]: “… I see. Then this situation is a good opportunity.”

Nobuyuki-san opened his mouth with a thoughtful expression.

[NOBUYUKI]: “For Shingen to come to this frontier I think it’s likely that the Takeda army is having a large war.”

[NOBUYUKI]: “Furthermore, that he welcomed Sanada must be because he doesn’t have the spare energy to oppose us.”

[YUKIMURA]: “… Meaning the Takeda army has been cornered pretty badly, which is hard to think…”

[NOBUYUKI]: “Yes. I don’t know who his opponent is but there is no doubt Shingen and the others are in a disadvantageous battle.”

Nobuyuki-san asserted this. And then he looked directly at Yukimura-kun.

[NOBUYUKI]: “If you were to propose a united front right now, Yukimura, the Takeda army will surely accept.”

[NOBUYUKI]: “And then, if we’re able to travel together with Takeda’s march, we can safely search for the clue in Takeda territory…”

[YUKIMURA]: “… That’s like getting the better of Shingen though.”

[YUZUKI]: (It certainly is like we’re using them… In truth, Yukimura-kun must not want to do that, huh.)

[YUZUKI]: (In that case, I’ll…)

[YUKIMURA]: “But I want to return Yuzuki to her original world. Everyone is the same, right?”

[SASUKE]: “Of course!”

[SAIZOU]: “Naturally.”

[KAMANOSUKE]: “… Mhm.”

[YUKIMURA]: “Alright… we’ll travel together with the Takeda army.”

[YUZUKI]: “You guys…”

[SHINGEN]: “Yo.”

Right when our conversation settled– Shingen-san appeared in front of us as if he were waiting for that timing.

[YUKIMURA]: “…!”

[SHINGEN]: “We’re leaving this place already, but what’re you guys going to do?”

[YUKIMURA]: “… Shingen, I’m indebted to you for the time you overlooked us leaving the army.”

[YUKIMURA]: “So, if we can be of help, won’t you let us work together?”

Shingen-san listened to Yukimura-kun’s words and seemed to have a stiff expression.

–But that was only for an instant and then he immediately showed a smile.

[SHINGEN]: “I see. I didn’t overlook you guys to demand gratitude, but…”

[SHINGEN]: “Honestly, that proposal is appreciated!”

[SHINGEN]: “Actually, we’re in the middle of heading to a battle but our enemies are worrying–“

Having said that, Shingen-san spoke about the unexpected enemy called Uesugi and Date’s joined forces.

[SHINGEN]: “Because of that we’re in a little bit of a tough situation. I appreciate your cooperation but the enemy is strong. Is it really okay?”

[YUKIMURA]: “… Yeah. I can’t ignore it even more when I hear that. If you don’t mind, we’ll lend you our strength.”

[SHINGEN]: “I see…! Then I’m counting on you, Yukimura!”

Shingen-san showed another smile again as he saw Yukimura-kun nod firmly.

[YUZUKI]: (It’ll definitely be a tough fight, huh… I have to not be a burden…!)

[YUKIMURA]: “Alright, let’s take a break here.”

We began marching together with the Takeda army and, crossing a grueling mountain trail, we decided to take a break.

[SAIZOU]: “Come over here. I’ll massage your legs.”

As I took a breath in the shade of the trees Saizou-kun said such a thing.

[YUZUKI]: “Wha, no, I’m okay…!”

[SAIZOU]: “Heh, it’s futile to act tough. You must be quite tired.”

[SASUKE]: “You say that but you seem dead tired too, Saizou.”

[SAIZOU]: “Wha, what did you say? Who do you think I am! You’re the one–“

[KAMANOSUKE]: “Those two are excessively energetic…”

[YUKIMURA]: “Now, now, you two. Fighting is–“

Yukimura-kun tried to mediate while smiling but his face abruptly became grim.

When that happened Saizou-kun and the others, who were quarreling just seconds ago, also took out their weapons one after another.

[YUZUKI]: (Huh… what is that…!?)

Following everyone’s line of sight, there was a tremendously large army that was coming towards us–.

I wouldn’t mind if a cute boy massaged my legs…
Naaaa. I rather Shingen do it. But if that were the case, then it would be a shame if it were only the legs…

LOL Just gonna saunter into a stranger’s camp and be like “Heeyyyyy Shingen, can I switch over to Takeda–” |D It’s too hard to take Saizou and Kamanosuke seriously because they’re just so… young.

Neither, I think he’s certain he knows what kind of person Yukimura is (and he’s not wrong) given how he laughed in 8.2 about how Yukimura hasn’t changed his self-sacrificing and reckless ways. He pretty much dropped all his wariness and aggression at that moment back there. It could probably even be argued that he was faking it to begin with |D.

I think it was more like Shingen wanted to confirm if Yukimura was the same decent person he knew. After all, people can change.
