Chapter 5: An Awe-Inspiring Resolve

Knowing every army has begun to obtain the sacred treasures, everyone could feel the presence of an unavoidable war.

Among them is the glum look of Takamoto, appointed as the next general. The real intention behind that was…?

Chapter 5.5

[YUZUKI]: “Why was my cell phone in your tea kettle, Imari-kun…?”

[IMARI]: “Sell fone? That’s the name of this small box?”

[IMARI]: “I just happened to pick this up on the day you came to Shinga!”

[YUZUKI]: (Come to think of it, I was definitely carrying this at that time. I thought everything I had on hand was gone, but why only my cell phone…?)

.[IMARI]: “Does this possibly belong to you? It’s smooth and pretty so I put it in my tea kettle to keep it safe.”

[IMARI]: “I’m sorry… If I realized that possibility, I could have handed it over earlier…”

[YUZUKI]: “No, don’t worry. Thank you for carrying it all this time.”

[YUZUKI]: “I thought I already lost it, so…”

[TERUMOTO]: “It’s great you found it, huh!”

[YUZUKI]: “Mhm.”

I nodded, smiling, and took the cell phone.

When I did the screen began to shine brightly even though the battery should have run out a long time ago.

[YUZUKI]: (Huh, what!? What is this…!?)

And then, maybe because they noticed the light, it wasn’t just Motonari-san and Takamoto-san but also Motoharu-san and Takakage-san, who returned to the castle, that gathered over.

[MOTONARI]: “This light…? What in the world is going on?”

[YUZUKI]: “I don’t know anything either… When I touched this it suddenly started shining.”

[TAKAKAGE]: “That’s a strange device… It’s really bright though, can’t you do something?”

[YUZUKI]: “E-even if you ask me that…”

[MOTOHARU]: “… Hm, from what I can see there doesn’t seem to be a fire inside.”

As I was troubled, not knowing what was going on at all, the light turned into the shape of a woman—

[IMARI]: “Hi… Himemiko-sama!”

[YUZUKI]: (Wha…? This lady is Himemiko-sama!?)

[HIMEMIKO]: “It has been a long time, Imari, hasn’t it. I am relieved you look to be healthy.”

That voice seemed to echo directly in my head.

[IMARI]: “H-Himemiko-sama…!! I finally get to see you…!”

[IMARI]: “Just as you asked, I found the lady who came from another world!”

[HIMEMIKO]: “You did very well in finding her. Thank you, Imari.”

[IMARI]: “It’s all I could ask for to hear you say that Himemiko-sama…! Ah, but…”

[IMARI]: “If I gave this to her right away, then we could have met much earlier, huh… I’m sorry for not being of use…”

[HIMEMIKO]: “That is not the case at all. Owing to you holding onto this carefully, I am able to speak with her.”

[IMARI]: “Himemiko-sama…!”

[HIMEMIKO]: “Although I was a little worried about whether you would continue not to notice that…”

[IMARI]: “Uuugh…”

[HIMEMIKO]: “Haha, that was a jest. I believed in you.”

And then Himemiko-sama turned her gaze to me, still with her soft smile.

[YUZUKI]: “… Um, you’re Himemiko-sama…?”

[HIMEMIKO]: “Yes. I have been waiting for a long time to be able to speak with you.”

[HIMEMIKO]: “First, I apologize sincerely for summoning you abruptly to this Shinga.”

[YUZUKI]: “Erm… why did you summon me?”

[HIMEMIKO]: “… Because I wished for Shinga to once again be a peaceful place without war.”

[HIMEMIKO]: “For that sake, the power of your blood is necessary… Howev—“

Before we finished talking about everything, Himemiko-sama’s from started gradually fading.

[HIMEMIKO]: “Please, I ask of you to bring peace… once more to Shinga… with your hands—“

[IMARI]: “Himemiko-sama! HIMEMIKO-SAMA!”

Imari-kun’s shouts were in vain and, as Himemiko-sama’s form disappeared completely, the cell phone’s screen also became dark.

[YUZUKI]: (The light disappeared… If I hold onto this, will I be able to see Himemiko-sama like this again? Or… was this it…?)

[IMARI]: “Uwu, wuu, guh, Himemiko-sama…”

[TERUMOTO]: “Imari, cheer up! I’m sure you’ll see her again!”

[TAKAMOTO]: “Yes, it is as Terumoto has said. To be able to have a conversation means that she is safely alive somewhere.”

[IMARI]: “Uu, Terumoto-san, Takamoto-san… thank you…”

While Terumoto-kun and Takamoto-san comforted Imari-kun, I strengthened my resolve into one thing.

[YUZUKI]: (I was called for in order to make Shinga peaceful. That’s what Himemiko-sama said… I’m sure that by granting that I will be closer to the way home.)

[YUZUKI]: (But that’s not all… If I make Himemiko-sama’s wish of “peace” come true then I might be able to repay everyone in Mouri.)

[YUZUKI]: (In that case, there’s only one thing I should do.)

[YUZUKI]: “Motonari-san… you avoided wars until now in order to protect Mouri, right?”

[MOTONARI]: “… Yes, that’s right.”

[YUZUKI]: “Then if I grant Himemiko-sama’s wish, will I be able to protect everyone too…?”

[YUZUKI]: “Until now, I’ve just been protected and making requests of everyone for my own convenience of wanting to go home back to my old world.”

[YUZUKI]: “So, that’s why I want to be of use…! I still don’t know how my blood will be useful… but still!”

[TAKAKAGE]: “Alright, alright, don’t get so fired up on your own.”

[YUZUKI]: “Er…”

[MOTOHARU]: “You have been more than enough help. So… you don’t need to feel so inferior.”

[TAKAMOTO]: “That’s right. But I’m really happy for your feelings of trying to protect Mouri together.”

[TERUMOTO]: “Yeah! It somehow feels like we’ve become family!”

Family— at those words I felt like I finally found a place to belong in this world.

[MOTONARI]: “Then shall we fight together, princess?”

[MOTONARI]: “We will lead Shinga to peace and protect Mouri. —For that we must turn away the threat that is approaching us now.”

Everyone, keeping their own resolves to themselves, nodded strongly at Motonari-san’s words.

However, the danger approached sooner than I thought—

Waaaa!!! Why does everyone think they can only obtain peace through war?
    Sigh.
Anyway. With this we finished all the first season?

In all fairness, it doesn’t seem like Mouri has a choice when everyone’s decided to charge onto their doorstep LOL. It sounds more like they’re just going to fight viciously to defend themselves and – along the way – pick up some sacred treasures (heck, everyone is bringing it to them so why not).

Yep! This concludes the first season, but we’ll still be in Mouri-land a little more because I need to get their awakenings done |D.

good luck with that. i cant even figure out how to unite these armies when they have their own pride that it should be them who should reunite shinga.

I think they should just follow history and have Oda do the majority of the work and then Toyotomi takes over– just kidding LOL. I really wonder if SNB plans to have the heroine broker peace for everyone, or if her loyalty will ultimately lie with the first army that picks her up, hmm.

        that would also mean…
Both Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin, who were the biggest threats to Oda hegemony, died at relatively young ages – Shingen was 52 and Kenshin 49. In Shingen’s case, his death has been variously attributed to disease, an old war wound and pneumonia or being shot by a sniper. Kenshin’s death is usually attributed to his heavy drinking and a stroke or seizure, or death by ninja sword up the bottom. i got this from https://historum.com/threads/what-if-either-kenshin-or-shingen-had-lived.66530/

if possible i want snb to have a story what it looks like if this certain army win and unite shinga
