Chapter 1: Imminent Danger
Looking for clues on Himemiko, Shingen and the others proceeded smoothly towards Mouri territory.
However, the scouts brought back “troubling information”…
[MASANOBU]: “Shingen-sama, could this troubling information be…”
Shingen-san nodded at Masanobu-san’s words as he showed a grim expression.
[SHINGEN]: “Exactly that. It looks like they’ve prepared to counter attack us with Mouri territory right before their eyes.”
[YUZUKI]: “Then the war with Oda and the other armies is starting…?”
.[SHINGEN]: “I don’t intend to retreat here. If they’re going to challenge us then I’ll just accept it. There’s enough chance to win with our current strength. However—“
[SHINGEN]: “We’re allied right now. I can’t make a decision on my own.”
[YUZUKI]: “Ah, that’s why you’re holding a war meeting…”
[SHINGEN]: “Yeah. I don’t know what decision will come out, but it’s probably better to be prepared.”
Shingen-san’s face, as he said this, was extremely serious and I clenched my hands out of nervousness.
[YUZUKI]: (The meeting with Uesugi and Sanada is over, but…)
[MASATOYO]: “Tomorrow’s finally the battle, huh…”
If the enemy was lying in wait then they would accept the challenge. That was the conclusion reached at the end in the war meeting.
[NOBUHARU]: “Fuhaha! What, it’s better if we’re able to settle those men before battling Mouri.”
[MASAKAGE]: “That’s right! If we crush all three armies here in one go, then it’ll be easier to look for clues to Himemiko-sama in Mouri lands.”
[MASAKAGE]: “Alright, I’m gonna show those guys Takeda’s power!”
[SHINGEN]: “Our enemies are tough. Don’t be careless.”
[MASAKAGE]: “Of course!!”
[NOBUHARU]: “We’ve just been riding our horses for a while. How about we go wild to our heart’s content?”
Maybe they were happy to finally fight, but Masakage-kun and Nobuharu-san were in really high spirits.
[YUZUKI]: (It’s like Masanobu-san said, these two really just like fighting.)
[MASATOYO]: “The vanguard will be entrusted to Shingen-sama and the others…”
[MASANOBU]: “You will be in the rear guard with us.”
[YUZUKI]: “Okay. I’m staying back so I don’t become a burden, huh.”
[SHINGEN]: “The battle this time isn’t just Oda and Toyotomi, but also Date. Although you’ll be in the rear, it’s best you take more than enough care.”
[SHINGEN]: “We don’t know when or what kind of ambushes those guys will use.”
The incident of me almost being kidnapped by Masamune-san during the battle with Uesugi came across my mind.
[YUZUKI]: (I don’t want to trouble eeryone again, so I need to be careful…!)
[MASANOBU]: “Yes, and… putting aside Sanada, you can’t get too close to Uesugi’s commanders.”
[YUZUKI]: “Huh… even though we’re allied?”
[MASANOBU]: “Correct. We can expect that Kenshin won’t raise a hand to you, but I don’t know about Kagemochi.”
[MASANOBU]: “… Well, no matter what happens, I don’t intend to leave you alone, so those sort of things won’t happen anymore.”
[YUZUKI]: (Masanobu-san is bothered by me being caught by Kagemochi-san…)
[YUZUKI]: “Okay. I’ll definitely stay beside Masatoyo-san or you, Masanobu-san.”
[MASAKAGE]: “Kagemochi, huh… That guy also knows about the power of your blood. Be on guard.”
As I nodded at Masakage-kun’s warning, Nobuharu-san stared at me pensively.
[NOBUHARU]: “… There’s a lot of danger around you. In the end, it might be better for you to genuinely be trained.”
[MASATOYO]: “Nobuharu-san, she is a girl so please keep it moderate…”
And then, while they talked about the events tomorrow, my heart grew warm at everyone’s kindness.
[YUZUKI]: (Even though I think it’s hard for them to stand back in a large war, they’re worried about me like this.)
[YUZUKI]: (I’d like to do something for everyone, even if it’s just a little. Speaking of what I can do to help—)
[SHINGEN]: “What’s wrong all of a sudden?”
[MASAKAGE]: “Do you feel bad?”
Maybe it was because I made a sudden exclamation, but everyone looked at me worriedly.
[YUZUKI]: “I forgot something important…!”
