Chapter 3: The Shape of Peace
To protect those they should, Motonari and the others chose the path of drawing their swords. After the battle, they passed a short time as they always did, but…
In front of this calm daily life, a small doubt suddenly sprouted.
Having arranged our preparations for the expedition, we were about to set out to the place with the lithograph.
[IMARI]: “I wanted to go too…”
[YUZUKI]: “I’m sorry… This time there’s only Motonari-san and Takamoto-san, so I didn’t want to cause them more trouble…”
[IMARI]: “I know. I can’t fight and so if I went then I’d just be a burden on everyone.”
[IMARI]: “I’ll stay at the castle and search for new information!”
[YUZUKI]: “Okay, thank you.”
.[TERUMOTO]: “Wait please!”
[YUZUKI]: “Terumoto-kun! And Motoharu-san and Takakage-san too.”
[MOTOHARU]: “We managed to make it.”
[MOTOHARU]: “… Brother, take this too.”
[TAKAMOTO]: “This is…?”
[MOTOHARU]: “Rice balls. You can eat it on the way.”
[TAKAMOTO]: “Thank you for going out of your way to make them. I’ll enjoy these with everyone.”
[MOTOHARU]: “Yeah. I also put in everyone’s favorite fillings.”
[YUZUKI]: “Motoharu-san… thank you.”
[TERUMOTO]: “I have something I want to give too.”
Terumoto-kun handed over a cloth bag with a smile.
[TERUMOTO]: “Here, hard candies! People say you should eat sweet things when you’re tired!”
[YUZUKI]: “Wow, thank you, Terumoto-kun. I’ll savor these.”
[YUZUKI]: (Everyone’s kindness is warm… I have to do my best to give back too.)
[TAKAKAGE]: “Hey, are you planning on going to the stone slab in those clothes?”
[YUZUKI]: “Um, yes, that’s what I was going to do… Oh!”
[YUZUKI]: (It’s through a mountain path so it’ll be cold… I forgot.)
Having been told that by Takakage-san, I tried to return to my room to grab a jacket—
[TAKAKAGE]: “Here, take this.”
[YUZUKI]: “Huh, this is…”
[TAKAKAGE]: “You can’t tell? I’m telling you to wear it.”
[TAKAKAGE]: “You really are an idiot, since you forget things despite being told over and over again.”
[TAKAKAGE]: “Don’t pull down Motonari-sama and Takakage-nii-san with that attitude, alright?”
[YUZUKI]: “R-right. I’ll be careful.”
[MOTONARI]: “Well then, let us be off. Princess, come ride on my horse.”
I got on the horse, borrowing Motonari-san’s hand, and he mounted right after.
[MOTONARI]: “Everyone, I entrust the castle to you.”
[TAKAKAGE]: “Take care.”
[TERUMOTO]: “Bye bye!”
Like last time, we were only able to reach a certain point on horse and then we walked on a steep path until we reached an area that was just a bit before the lithograph.
[YUZUKI]: “We were able to come here smoother than I expected.”
[TAKAMOTO]: “You’re right. It’s a nice thing, but when I think about how many yakuma attacked last time it is a little strange…”
[MOTONARI]: “It could be… due to that bracelet.”
As Motonari-san, who was walking in the front, said that he suddenly came to stop.
Takamoto-san seemed to sense something at that sight and pulled me behind his back as if to protect me.
[TAKAMOTO]: “I’m sorry for suddenly pulling your hand…”
[YUZUKI]: “No… um, is something wrong?”
[MOTONARI]: “… There appears to be people in front of the lithograph.”
Note: I’ve caught up to all the released story parts for this game with this post now. SNB has mentioned that they are currently on a hiatus for the main story, and a date has not been given as to when they’ll release new chapters. However, I’m not sure if I’ll be continuing with this either. I might put out a few more translations of letters and things that I’ve collected, but my interest has waned in this game (and gods I can’t believe it’s been like 2 years LOL).
Thank you to everyone who’s followed the SNB story to this point and enjoyed my translations and left comments!!
