Chapter 9: All or Nothing

In the moment a predicament was escaped, the large army of Takeda and Sanada were soon approaching.

Kenshin, who was concerned about the castle town becoming a battlefield, chose to confront them in an overwhelmingly unfavorable situation…!

Chapter 9.1

[KENSHIN]: “… So, the Takeda army and Sanada army has made an alliance.”

[KAGEIE]: “…? What do you mean?”

[KAGEMOCHI]: “He means that Shingen, having learned that we allied with Date, assembled a force that could oppose that.”

[KANETSUGU]: “Che… in the end, our alliance wasn’t established. Can’t they not come?”

[YUZUKI]: (No way… For the Takeda army and Sanada army to attack at the same time…)

Chapter 10: All Worldly Things are Transitory

Several days after entering into an alliance with the Uesugi army, Shingen, who returned to the castle, seemed to be deep in thought about something.

While everyone tried to guess at his inmost thoughts, the words spoken from Shingen’s mouth had a premonition of further war…

Chapter 10.5

After I came back from the teahouse, I sat alone on the veranda and looked at the satchet I was given by Shingen-san in the cave when we were chased by yakuma.

[YUZUKI]: (It doesn’t smell much anymore.)

Even though it had a nice smell just from sitting in the palm of my hand when I received it from Shingen-san, now there was no smell even when I brought my nose close.

[YUZUKI]: (That shows just how many days have passed since I came to Shinga, huh.)

[YUZUKI]: (… I wonder what everyone’s doing right now.)

Chapter 10.4

[IMARI]: “I’m so happy to be able to see you, Himemiko-sama!”

At Imari-kun’s words, Himemiko-sama looked at me and smiled softly.

[HIMEMIKO]: “I am able to speak with you at last. How long have I awaited this day…”

Chapter 10.3

[???]: “Uuwu… uu…”

[YUZUKI]: (Why is there crying…? There shouldn’t be anyone but me here…)

[YUZUKI]: (Could it be that someone’s hiding somewhere in my room? Or…)

A bad feeling crossed my mind and I became scared and was about to call for someone before I stayed my thought.

[YUZUKI]: (I can’t keep relying on everyone.)

[MASAKAGE]: “Train her… Nobuharu-san, however you put it, choosing her is…”

[NOBUHARU]: “We learn by teaching! That’s how it is and this girl needs to be trained too, so it’s perfect.”

[MASAKAGE]: “… Until I teach her, you won’t be satisfied, huh, Nobuharu-san.”

Chapter 10.1

It’s been several days since the expedition ended and we returned to the castle. The restless days where I was treating injured soldiers finally settled and so I made an effort to compound medicine.

[MASANOBU]: “I’ve procured the herbs we were running short on.”

[YUZUKI]: “Thank you very much, Masanobu-san.”

[MASANOBU]: “You’re welcome.”

If it’s you, I believed you’d come today as well.

I’m sending you a reward together with this letter.

By the way, taking this means you’ll be my bride, alright?

Just kidding.
… Just now, you had a troubled look, right?
I wanted to see that face personally!

I want to see you soon.
I’ll be waiting.

– Toyotomi Hideyoshi

“Perseverance will accomplish all things”

Those words are not a lie.
Your efforts every day will surely illuminate the future one day.

When you are around, even the surroundings strangely seem to become brighter.

I am always grateful to you.

Thank you.

You always seem to be handling huge problems, but when you’re happy, I’m happy too. When you’re having fun, I’m having fun too.

Really.

Thank you for always being with me♪

I still have lots of things to tell you that I can’t write it all in a letter.

So, let’s talk a lot together later♪

Thank you for your hard work as always.

I think there must be many difficult problems, but you seem to be doing your best.

However, I do not recommend doing things such as staying up late and pushing yourself too hard.

Also, if there is anything you are conflicted over or troubled by then please discuss it with me first.

I am worried about you I would be bothered if unnecessary work was increased.

(HIDEYOSHI FINALLY SENT ME A LETTER! So, we’re gonna do a small detour to hear from these guys… I miss them so much.)

These days you’ve been working hard every day, huh!
Awesome, awesome!

I was told by Hideyoshi to send you a reward, so I’m sending you one. Take it gratefully!

I was told by Mitsunari to add a letter properly to it too, but what should I write?

Well, anyway, thanks for your support from here on too!

[SHINGEN]: “Haagh!!”

[SHINGEN]: “… We’ve advanced pretty far. Kenshin should be close too.”

[NOBUHARU]: “That seems so… Shingen, leave the rest to us and go ahead!”

Chapter 9: A Bolt From the Blue

The Takeda army and the Sanada army, having formed an alliance, pursued their enemies with great vigour and soon began to pressure them.

Just when things were thought to be flowing smoothly, Masanobu was injured by an enemy’s surprise attack…

Chapter 9.3

[YUZUKI]: (Masanobu-san’s wound healed with my blood, but…)

The area seemed to descend into even more of a free-for-all and I could hear the sounds of intense battle from the distance.

[MASANOBU]: “… There appears to be more enemies than we thought. At this rate, it will be dangerous for Masatoyo’s rear guard…”

[YUZUKI]: “Huh? If you’re at the back, isn’t it safe?”

[MASANOBU]: “Originally, that would be the case. However, now that the war front is in a chaos, the rear guard isn’t any different from the front line.”

[MASANOBU]: “But the main role of the rear guard is search-and-destroy and vigilance. Compared to the front line, it is lacking in forces. If there’s no support, it will be overcome before long…”

(A day late, but due to time zones and translation time I’m a bit slower |D).

[SASUKE]: “Hey! Kamanosuke! I heard just now that today is called “Halloween” or something!”

[KAMANOSUKE]: “What is that…?”

[SASUKE]: “Apparently, you disguise yourself as anything and say “If you don’t give me candy, I’ll trick you!” and you’ll get candy or you can prank them! Sounds fun, right?”

[KAMANOSUKE]: “Disguise… like what??”

[SASUKE]: “Ermm… I heard things like a ghost, pumpkin, or witch!”
