(I’m developing an aneurysm trying to come up with a nice way to present these short episodes. Okay, so the majority of these are going to be Yamato’s short episodes but they will feature some other ones because we need to have cleared 17 of these to advance to the end of the game. All of these seem to be happening around Chapter 4, or are flashbacks).
(Okay, so a bunch of routes are locked until you complete some general endings which is what I’m doing right now, SO THIS IS ALL A PART OF THE PLAN, but I should reveal that I wanted to get the BEST END first… instead I got the BAD END, oops. Let me just admit that I have no talent at otome games without a guide. Also, it may seem like it took me forever to write this short post but I actually had to read a ton of side episodes so… there’s gonna be an explosion of posts once I’m ready.)

Yamato is a very blunt and short-tempered man. He comes off as being rough-around-the-edges but of course he’s just hiding a heart of gold. He shows how much he cares about the people around him through his actions though he’d like to deny feeling any sort of softness and kindness for most of the people around him. Much like the others, he has no memories of his life before appearing in this mansion except for this impatience that drives him to want to escape as soon as possible because “someone” is waiting for him.
(Chapter 2 starts to give you choices so I didn’t have much of a choice but to merge it into a character post, kind of like how I usually blog, aha. So, this post is going to cover Yamato’s end too and uh… let’s say it’s not what you’re going to expect. Chapter 2 is also only unlocked after you see this side story attached to it so I’ll throw that in here first.)
(Each of these short stories cost 150 points ;w; I’m going to need to shoot more butterflies in this game to earn points for the rest of these, haha. At any rate, these episodes show some small and cute events with the cast before we go back to the doom and gloom. By the way, according to the flowchart, it looks like all of these are happening around the end of Chapter 1.)
(I couldn’t resist. I’ve been hearing many good things about this game and I’m a fanatic for story-centric games as one could tell from my list of favorite games that I support on the side; Shinigami to Shoujo, Black Wolves Saga, and Hana Awase. I will probably blog this first before returning to Hime-hen, which I haven’t been able to drum up enthusiasm for at this point in time. I’m also going to try a new style of blogging and update by chapters, so let me know what you guys think!)
CV: Igarashi Hiromi (五十嵐 裕美)
Orion is a precious angel sent down from the heavens and nothing can dissuade me from believing this. He has such endless optimism and positivity and he continues to care very deeply about the heroine. The story is partially set in Ukyo’s route where the heroine is going out with Ukyo but she doesn’t have memories of what happened in August. Orion and her meet and she is struck by constant nostalgia.
(THE LONG JOURNEY IS OVER! Thank you to everyone again for their patience in me completing Amnesia Later. This also finishes up Yellow Apple’s request for me to finish up this series |D so yay! I’m going to move into Hana Awase Himeutsugi-hen after this but unfortunately they don’t have Hime-hen banners, so I’ll be using Mizuchi-hen banners as progress updates).
CV: Yoshida Seiko (吉田 聖子)
It isn’t really explained how Lin and Rika became friends. It seems like they became acquainted through the Maid and Butler Cafe and from Rika being Ikki’s friend. At any rate, she’s quite friendly here and has a hilariously normal life despite her personality. They end up talking about Ikki and Ukyo in the girls party.
CV: Akutsu Kana (阿久津 加奈)
Mine is younger than the heroine and it seems like they met while working at the Maid and Butler Cafe. She comes off as being a bit blunt and full of confidence in herself, but she has her cute points too. The girls party ends up talking about Shin and Waka.
CV: Moriya Satomi (森谷 里美)
Sawa has known Lin since their high school days and they’ve been good friends since then. She’s a very bubbly and excited girl although she comes off as a bit oblivious sometimes. This route also involves some gossiping about Kent and Toma in a girls party.
CV: Takahashi Hidenori (高橋 英則)
Waka has different personalities depending on the world the heroine is in and so we get to explore some scenes with all of them. In Shin’s world, Waka is very effeminate. In Kent’s world, he barely speaks. In Ikki’s world, he’s a war general. And in Ukyo’s world, he’s an assassin. I’m not sure why Toma’s world isn’t represented here… maybe Waka was just too normal there? It’s also neat that he uses a slightly different voice for all versions of Waka but these routes were also a bit weird since they were half-romantic but set in the same universe that the heroine ends up with the main characters.
CV: Miyata Kouki (宮田 幸季)
Ukyo and the heroine have many issues to resolve since the first game; there is the issue of the heroine not having any memories of what happened in the first game, and there is still the other Ukyo to deal with. This route ties up the loose ends from the first game as well as showing what life is like with Ukyo when the world is not trying to kill them.
(AND I’M BACK! MY PLAN IS TO FINISH UP THE REST OF AMNESIA LATER REALLY QUICKLY AND THEN HEAD INTO HIME-HEN. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CONTINUES TO SUPPORT ME DESPITE MY FREQUENT BREAKS AND SLOW POSTS).
CV: Ishida Akira (石田 彰)
Kent has grown up so much from the first game and yet, in other ways, he remains the same dense man with respect to the matters of love. His route focuses a lot on him learning daily life lessons like cooking, washing, and other things while progressing his relationship with the heroine.
(It’s been a long time since we came back to Amnesia Later and so I’ll do a quick refresher on what happens at the beginning before the heroine chooses who she wants to be with to search for the fireflies. Please refer to Amnesia Later Ikki’s post for all the details. Also… I AM STILL NOT ANY CLOSER TO UNDERSTANDING KENT).
CV: Kakihara Tetsuya (柿原 徹也)
Despite being one year younger than the heroine, Shin is a very responsible and mature young man. In fact, being younger merely spurs him on to become the type of man that can be with her. Unfortunately, in this route he has to deal with the heroine’s ridiculous rendition of a five year old or a prude virgin. If only the GOOD END involved him breaking up with her.
CV: Hino Satoshi (日野 聡)
Toma likes to self-deprecate himself a lot because he knows he has issues, but it doesn’t deter him from loving the heroine. Plus, in the Diamond World the heroine is just as crazy about him as he is about her. There’s not much to say about him except that he still acts like an older brother figure and so he’s responsible, caring, and protective.
