Commissions

Hello, welcome to the commission page! I’ll be using the page to show whether I’m open or closed for commissions.

status: [OPEN]

By default I will post finished drama CD commissions on my blog as well as the commissioner’s name unless told otherwise. I’m also willing to send the finished product through email in whatever format the commissioner would like (ex. PDF, doc, etc). I’ll also provide the commissioner with updates on my translation progress.

Examples of my work can be found in my drama CD section or character song section. The rest of my posts are pretty much examples of my translation (though otome games are shifted into 3rd person exposition) with the most recent posts being an example of my current level of Japanese (I’m an official N2!).

PRICES (CDN):

  • $50 per drama CD (+ $0.25 per minute after 90 minutes).
  • $15 per song.
  • $0.02 x [Japanese characters/2.5] for text (ex. short stories, interviews, etc.).
NOTES:
  • !PLEASE PROVIDE THE FILES YOU WANT TRANSLATED! I’ll let you know if I already have them.
  • I reserve the right to refuse a commission for reasons I may or may not disclose.

HOW TO:

Just comment on this page showing your interest and I’ll send you an email to discuss the details. I don’t want to post my email here to avoid spam bots and comments will help me organize who was first. You don’t need a WP account to comment! Just make sure to enter a valid email in the email section it prompts you with so that I can contact you; no one else can see that email except for me. Or you can contact me through Twitter, Tumblr, or even Curious Cat.

For a rough idea of my backlog and waiting list (if I have one), please look at my sidebar and under “Now Playing” there is a list of [A]ctive or [P]ending commissions. [C]ompleted commissions are only in the case of multiple commissions from one person. [?] means I am still confirming details but the slot is being held.

Once we’ve discussed the details and have agreed upon a price I’ll ask for a down payment that is 1/2 of the agreed upon price, or if you are comfortable doing so you may pay me in full. I will keep you updated, let you know when I finish translating and show samples, but I won’t send you the full thing until I’ve received the full agreed upon payment.

Please send me payment through PayPal or Ko-fi!

I know you accept commissions for drama cds and novels, but do you do full-length games by any chance? I’ve been desperate for a translation of Hana Awase’s Iroha-hen ever since I found out it was released last year (and I adore your writing for the previous games!) >.< He's my fav and I want him to get his own happy ending.

Aah, I’m afraid not. I wouldn’t even know where to begin pricing that, haha. I don’t actually do novels either because they have an enormous word count that I don’t think anyone could afford |D;; only short stories really. The novels that I have translated were just done on my own time.

I’ve been trying to find time to go back to playing games because I myself want to finish the HA series, but I just haven’t been able to drum up the attention span to sit down and enjoy a good story. I keep getting distracted by piecemeal mobages oops.
