Chapter 10: All Worldly Things are Transitory

Several days after entering into an alliance with the Uesugi army, Shingen, who returned to the castle, seemed to be deep in thought about something.

While everyone tried to guess at his inmost thoughts, the words spoken from Shingen’s mouth had a premonition of further war…

Chapter 10.2

[MASAKAGE]: “Train her… Nobuharu-san, however you put it, choosing her is…”

[NOBUHARU]: “We learn by teaching! That’s how it is and this girl needs to be trained too, so it’s perfect.”

[MASAKAGE]: “… Until I teach her, you won’t be satisfied, huh, Nobuharu-san.”

Several days after entering into an alliance with the Uesugi army, Shingen, who returned to the castle, seemed to be deep in thought about something.

While everyone tried to guess at his inmost thoughts, the words spoken from Shingen’s mouth had a premonition of further war…

Chapter 10.1

It’s been several days since the expedition ended and we returned to the castle. The restless days where I was treating injured soldiers finally settled and so I made an effort to compound medicine.

[MASANOBU]: “I’ve procured the herbs we were running short on.”

[YUZUKI]: “Thank you very much, Masanobu-san.”

[MASANOBU]: “You’re welcome.”

Chapter 9: A Bolt From the Blue

The Takeda army and the Sanada army, having formed an alliance, pursued their enemies with great vigour and soon began to pressure them.

Just when things were thought to be flowing smoothly, Masanobu was injured by an enemy’s surprise attack…

Chapter 9.4

[SHINGEN]: “Haagh!!”

[SHINGEN]: “… We’ve advanced pretty far. Kenshin should be close too.”

[NOBUHARU]: “That seems so… Shingen, leave the rest to us and go ahead!”

[SHINGEN]: “Alright, I’m counting on you guys! Nobuharu-san, Masakage!”

[MASAKAGE]: “Heh! This is easy peasy! –Draaagh!!”

Chapter 9.3

[YUZUKI]: (Masanobu-san’s wound healed with my blood, but…)

The area seemed to descend into even more of a free-for-all and I could hear the sounds of intense battle from the distance.

[MASANOBU]: “… There appears to be more enemies than we thought. At this rate, it will be dangerous for Masatoyo’s rear guard…”

[YUZUKI]: “Huh? If you’re at the back, isn’t it safe?”

[MASANOBU]: “Originally, that would be the case. However, now that the war front is in a chaos, the rear guard isn’t any different from the front line.”

[MASANOBU]: “But the main role of the rear guard is search-and-destroy and vigilance. Compared to the front line, it is lacking in forces. If there’s no support, it will be overcome before long…”

Pursuing the sacred treasures, the Takeda army went on an expedition to Uesugi territory. On the way, they encountered the Sanada army by chance.

As Uesugi and Date move suspiciously, an alliance proposal came from Yukimura…

Chapter 8.5

[YUKIMURA]: “You won’t form an alliance, huh… If that is your decision, Shingen, then that’s how it is.”

Yukimura-san nodded while looking disappointed.

After that the Sanada army withdrew in a flash and Shingen-san and I watched them leave together.

[YUZUKI]: “… I hope they make it back to Sanada territory unharmed.”

[SHINGEN]: “There won’t be a problem. In the end, the enemy’s target is us. They should be able to head home safely.”

In order to put distance between me and everyone, I listened quietly to the discussion at a place that was a little away from the meeting spot.

Chapter 6: Man Proposes, God Disposes

Their opponent was their longtime rival “Uesugi Kenshin”, one that could not be dealt with by ordinary means, and Takeda was to challenge them seriously but… what direction would the match go…!?

Chapter 6.5

Several days had passed since I left the old castle before Shingen-san and the others finally came home.

Unbearably happy, I went to greet them but what I saw was a limp Shingen-san.
