CV: Igarashi Hiromi (五十嵐 裕美)
Orion is a precious angel sent down from the heavens and nothing can dissuade me from believing this. He has such endless optimism and positivity and he continues to care very deeply about the heroine. The story is partially set in Ukyo’s route where the heroine is going out with Ukyo but she doesn’t have memories of what happened in August. Orion and her meet and she is struck by constant nostalgia.
(THE LONG JOURNEY IS OVER! Thank you to everyone again for their patience in me completing Amnesia Later. This also finishes up Yellow Apple’s request for me to finish up this series |D so yay! I’m going to move into Hana Awase Himeutsugi-hen after this but unfortunately they don’t have Hime-hen banners, so I’ll be using Mizuchi-hen banners as progress updates).
CV: Yoshida Seiko (吉田 聖子)
It isn’t really explained how Lin and Rika became friends. It seems like they became acquainted through the Maid and Butler Cafe and from Rika being Ikki’s friend. At any rate, she’s quite friendly here and has a hilariously normal life despite her personality. They end up talking about Ikki and Ukyo in the girls party.
CV: Akutsu Kana (阿久津 加奈)
Mine is younger than the heroine and it seems like they met while working at the Maid and Butler Cafe. She comes off as being a bit blunt and full of confidence in herself, but she has her cute points too. The girls party ends up talking about Shin and Waka.
CV: Moriya Satomi (森谷 里美)
Sawa has known Lin since their high school days and they’ve been good friends since then. She’s a very bubbly and excited girl although she comes off as a bit oblivious sometimes. This route also involves some gossiping about Kent and Toma in a girls party.
CV: Takahashi Hidenori (高橋 英則)
Waka has different personalities depending on the world the heroine is in and so we get to explore some scenes with all of them. In Shin’s world, Waka is very effeminate. In Kent’s world, he barely speaks. In Ikki’s world, he’s a war general. And in Ukyo’s world, he’s an assassin. I’m not sure why Toma’s world isn’t represented here… maybe Waka was just too normal there? It’s also neat that he uses a slightly different voice for all versions of Waka but these routes were also a bit weird since they were half-romantic but set in the same universe that the heroine ends up with the main characters.
CV: Miyata Kouki (宮田 幸季)
Ukyo and the heroine have many issues to resolve since the first game; there is the issue of the heroine not having any memories of what happened in the first game, and there is still the other Ukyo to deal with. This route ties up the loose ends from the first game as well as showing what life is like with Ukyo when the world is not trying to kill them.
(AND I’M BACK! MY PLAN IS TO FINISH UP THE REST OF AMNESIA LATER REALLY QUICKLY AND THEN HEAD INTO HIME-HEN. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CONTINUES TO SUPPORT ME DESPITE MY FREQUENT BREAKS AND SLOW POSTS).
Sakamaki Shu (逆巻 シュウ)
CV: Toriumi Kousuke (鳥海 浩輔)
Shu is the eldest of the brothers in the Sakamaki family. He comes off as being lethargic and disinterested in everything and anything but, as like all his other brothers, this personality came from an event in his past. He can be surprisingly sadistic and perverted. Also, underneath his lethargy, he can be quite cunning.
(I CAN’T BELIEVE WE DID IT. I finally collected all the vampires and this concludes my Diabolik Lovers journey. I won’t be playing More Blood or Dark Fate. Moreover, can you seriously believe it’s been two years since I started this game? LOL. I’ve finally completed Eva’s request from my blog’s first anniversary though ;;; SERIOUSLY THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PATIENCE).
Sakamaki Laito (逆巻 ライト)
CV: Hirakawa Daisuke (平川 大輔)
Laito is one of the triplets and comes with a manipulative streak a mile long. He appears to be a flighty and ditsy playboy but that just hides his perceptiveness and cunning. He has this habit of calling Yui by the nickname “Bitch-chan”. He also has a terribly cynical view on love and only seems to believe in lust due to his past with his mother.
((I don’t have anything to say about how long this took me. I’m really sorry! Laito was an interesting character but at the same time he didn’t… excite me. Anyway, I did things a little bit differently with going from Ending 01 to Ending 03 because that’s actually how it works. You start from Maniac and choose the “S” choices rather than “M” ones, which unlocks Ending 03 first and then Ending 02 is the full on “S” Ending)).
Sakamaki Subaru (逆巻 スバル)
CV: Kondo Takashi (近藤 隆)
Subaru is the youngest of all the brothers in the Sakamaki family. He has a very short temper and tends to destroy everything around him; much to the displeasure of Laito. He talks a lot like a gangster and would probably be swearing every second word in English. He can be surprisingly sensitive and concerned about others though.
(I know a ton of people have been waiting for this route so I hope you enjoy! Also, every time Subaru talks you literally just have to imagine him making those “AH!? WHAT DID YOU SAY?!” noises like yakuza members. No, seriously, I’m not kidding he talks like that all the time).
CV: Ishida Akira (石田 彰)
Kent has grown up so much from the first game and yet, in other ways, he remains the same dense man with respect to the matters of love. His route focuses a lot on him learning daily life lessons like cooking, washing, and other things while progressing his relationship with the heroine.
(It’s been a long time since we came back to Amnesia Later and so I’ll do a quick refresher on what happens at the beginning before the heroine chooses who she wants to be with to search for the fireflies. Please refer to Amnesia Later Ikki’s post for all the details. Also… I AM STILL NOT ANY CLOSER TO UNDERSTANDING KENT).
Reiji is the second oldest of the Sakamaki brothers. He talks very politely and tries to uphold the image of being refined and not falling prey to his vampire instincts. He also acts like a caretaker for his brothers and cleans the house. He has a fondness for tea and his tea cup collection.
(Since so many people were requesting Reiji I decided to do him! I was also convinced by his Versus CD where he just sounds amazing. Can you believe that we’re halfway through the vampires? It’s only taken me like… half a year).
Sakamaki Kanato (逆巻 カナト)
CV: Kaji Yuuki (梶 裕貴)
Kanato is one of the triplets of the Sakamaki family. He’s special… in that he has a teddy bear who he talks to and treats as if it were alive. His hobbies include making dolls, eating sweets, and throwing endless temper tantrums. But in reality, he’s actually quite manipulative.
(I’m following the same format as my Ayato post. The prologue is the same up to the point where she chooses who to suck her blood since there’s added dialogue after completing a character. Also, all ENDS 2/3 requires Yui to make ドS choices instead of ドM choices after Maniac, so keep that in mind).
CV: Kakihara Tetsuya (柿原 徹也)
Despite being one year younger than the heroine, Shin is a very responsible and mature young man. In fact, being younger merely spurs him on to become the type of man that can be with her. Unfortunately, in this route he has to deal with the heroine’s ridiculous rendition of a five year old or a prude virgin. If only the GOOD END involved him breaking up with her.
Sakamaki Ayato (逆巻 アヤト)
CV: Midorikawa Hikaru (緑川 光)
Ayato is one of the triplets of the Sakamaki household. He has a very selfish and arrogant personality and thinks himself to be the best at everything. He loves to call the heroine “chichinashi” which means flat-chested. He tends to be very possessive of what is his and very perverted.
(All the choices I make up to the Ending 01 are the M choices because it seems like that leads to the best end. I’ll only summarize briefly what happens if you choose the other choices to get the different endings in their appropriate sections. The Heaven scenarios are like extra special things.)
CV: Hino Satoshi (日野 聡)
Toma likes to self-deprecate himself a lot because he knows he has issues, but it doesn’t deter him from loving the heroine. Plus, in the Diamond World the heroine is just as crazy about him as he is about her. There’s not much to say about him except that he still acts like an older brother figure and so he’s responsible, caring, and protective.
