Robin Torkia (ロビン・トルキア)
CV: Kondou Takashi (近藤 隆)
A mysterious butler who covers his mouth with a rubber mask. He has extensive knowledge and is a polite escort, but when indignated he falls into an uncontrollable rage. He has an outlook on life where he seems to have given up on everything and it’s said his favorite phrase is “Aah, I want to die”.
Thank you so much to anonymous for the commission of this CD booklet. For the main CD translation, mikorin did one here. WARNING: Macabre depictions and one cannibalism mention. Reminder, please listen to the whole series in order! We’re almost to my favorite character of this series, although Robin also has a place in my heart.
Sakuragi Haruto (桜木 大翔)
Haruto was your childhood friend. He was an aggressive delinquent with scary eyes. Despite being a wild delinquent, he was extremely handsome and so he was very popular. Catching girls one after another, as much as he likes, there were rumors about how he was a womanizing playboy. However, for some reason he was cold towards you, who he knew from childhood, and he clearly didn’t want anything to do with you. Unable to do anything about that, you began to date a handsome soccer club member but…
One day, you unusually went to school together with Haruto but he acted suspiciously when he learned about your handsome boyfriend waiting at the station and did something unexpected. You became indignant and barged into Haruto’s house—
Thank you to Summer for the commission! R18 warning and anal here, I guess? Um, he cries a lot and he’s a sweetie so I don’t think there’s anything else to watch out for, really, except maybe lewd dialogue? But, hey, it’s PILVAMP and y’all know what you’re getting into LOL. On JP DLsite.
Kashiwagi Senna (柏木 セナ)
The criminal syndicate, House, which has been distributing the new drug, Rouge et Noir, was gradually losing its momentum after having an important base crushed by the Narcotics Control Division of the Port and Harbour Ministry of Welfare.
During this, as a new narcotics officer, you were appointed by Chief Eiji Suou of the Special Criminal Investigations Department (also known as the SCID), which you belonged in, to be the liaison of the informant Senna Kashiwagi. It was to protect Senna, who had gotten involved in trouble for certain reasons, and to have him continue to cooperate with the SCID’s investigation.
You came and went from the SCID and Senna’s hideout, which was for planning House’s destruction behind-the-scenes, while being pushed around by Senna’s overly whimsical actions but—.
R18 content warning. Enormous thank you to the anonymous commissioner for this and their patience while I did the first three volumes. Senna’s volume concludes the first season of Rouge et Noir, which is also what the ODF contains.
Here is a timeline for those confused since I’ve jumped around the series: Under the Gun > Check in the Dark > Double Down > Eye in the Sky > Pure Bluff > Second Barrel > Implied Odds > Maximum Bet > All In. Jacks or Better occurs somewhere after Double Down and before Maximum Bet. Makabe’s VR edition is also a side story.
Pure Bluff is a bet that’s made with a weak hand that would, in all probability lose. Basically, you have no grounds on which to stand on but you’re going to bluff to try and get the other person to fold.
CV: Kimura Ryouhei (木村 良平)
(A Very Good Boy right here. A’ makes my heart hurt because he’s such a sweet darling but he has such a real issue. I’m sure that if you were to look at the DSM-5 he’d check out on everything for bipolar disorder. Kudos to the heroine and how she supports him because this boy is a roller coaster. HIS SECOND SONG IS SO SAD!!)
Story premise is that these 6 boys have bands that are managed by Climax Records and though they have talent they have… their own problems. One day, the music executive (or executive producer) tells the boys that this is their last song. And so they’re all betting their survival on these last songs. Can you, as their girlfriend, support them? (Each boy has a different girlfriend).
Sakamaki Reiji (逆巻 レイジ)
CV: Konishi Katsuyuki (小西 克幸)
(PRAISE THE POWERS THAT BE! They actually took a step back from the path this series was going down on and made Reiji so much more lovable. Or maybe I’m just utterly biased towards Konishi’s voice.. Ahh~ but Reiji is such a gentleman that hilariously enough I started to get offended at how much self-control he had. I was actually going “HOW ARE YOU RESISTING THE HEROINE’S MARY SUE POWERS (屮ﾟДﾟ)屮“.
Notes about the translation: His keigo, or way of speech, is bloody hard to translate so just keep in mind that he talks and acts very politely, kind of like a butler! At the beginning he tells the heroine to sit seiza-style, which is why it’s so painful. I translated that part as “kneel” since it sounds weird in English to demand someone to sit seiza-style).
